As a 5th Generation Dallasite the youngest of 3 girls. Life was good all was well with the Earth. Daddy, said when General Eisenhower was elected .. don’t ever elect one of those Republicans, “you can’t make any money when they are in charge” was what he said … It has always stuck. The Fear of the GOP was instilled into my brain at a young age.

Sick and disabled since 1995 with some sort of AutoImmune disorder after our Vacation to Lake Tahoe .. the cancer followed after a long IM injection therapy for Lyme Disease with Rochephin. The IM injections were about a year in duration. If you have no experience with Lyme disease, I encourage you to watch the documentary film

“Under Our Skin”

About 8-10 years ago I went to the dermatologist in Bryan, Texas, Terry Jones, MD, to have a biopsy on a bump on the nape of my neck. A few days later I went in to have a mole removed from my back. The new doctor in the practice called to give me the lab results. “The mole on your back was benign. Oh but the other one is Squamous Cell Carcinoma.” Thanks so much. Never returned to Dr. Terry Jones’ office.

One of my friend’s Judy Greer, RN, her dad was being treated for Squamous Cell Carcinoma at the same time. Chemo was extremely difficult. My choice … let it kill me and tell NO ONE. So to spare my family the pain of knowing cancer was diagnosed decided to live what was left on God’s time. God’s time was very important to me as my daddy was a Deacon and my mom was an Officer in the Women Missionary Union of The Southern Baptist Church, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. We were a strong church family. This was the only decision in my mind. As I knew the chemo killed you and radiation causes cancer. So I decided to quit cutting my hair.

So we all went on about our life as if nothing was wrong with anyone in my family. When a sore would come up a trip to the Family DO and get it frozen, no more biopsy’s … as the little bumps are quite painful. squamous Cell Carcinoma is inside the blood stream.

In 2013 hearing that Medicinal Cannabis would be given in the State House of Representatives (to find your local representative’s contact information for Texas, please click here). I anxiously awaited the Texas Senate Committee hearing live feed for Medical Cannabis for Texas! The Cannabis Oil would cure cancer! The Federal Government had a Patent! Many who are sent home to die are not dying!! Oh my goodness!  Soon I could begin treating with Cannabis Oil!! The doctor’s in California had been on the Morning Shows saying juice the leaves for the health benefits since 1995 … what was happening … the elected officials were so rude to those there to testify! How could this be? Not voted out of Committee?? They did not know Cannabis Oil cured cancer? Oh no now what?

Screaming out loud at the television … my husband awoke to ask “What was wrong?” I explained no way would we get Medical in 2013. My heart had sunk. The death sentence was looming closer. Still my family did not know cancer was inside me. My hubby was about to find out but did not know how to tell him.

Medical Cannabis denied by Texas Law Makers. Texas has no way to put anything onto the ballot by Petition. All laws must be done during Session and they only meet every other year! Oh my goodness … what now? Educate.

(Need to know how a bill gets introduced and passed in Texas? please click here  http://www.house.state.tx.us/about-us/bill/) how a bill is done in Texas the People are not involved only those elected.

As Facebook connections were already available using those connections of people who were already in the states who had medical Cannabis and by January 2014 we had states Legalizing Cannabis for Recreational use! Texas was 20 years behind! Oh my goodness!! Networks started happening .. Noticing people were sending me Friend Requests connecting with people who were using this plant across the Planet! Not just in America but around the world people were making Cannabis Oil. Some of the stories were not happy endings, many have died while waiting to be Legally Healed. Some are being Illegally Healed. More about that another day. Once my story of Cancer came out on Facebook … along with my story about Cannabis was medicine for over 100 diseases until 1937… “they” found me. Not sure how “they” found me but “they” did. So many have taught me so much! First thing I didn’t know Sugar feeds Cancer. When they do the PET scan to see the Cancer… they shoot sugar-water into you and it lights up the cancer. Thinking Sugar was be the most difficult for me to give up. It was not. 1 week off sugar. Now I use Raw Honey in my coffee. Buying Organic food only when I can find it. We are not too healthy in my area. We do all we can to do it correctly.

If you would like to read up on the how and why cannabis can heal so many things, please click here

I can’t remember how many lesions or how often. I remember the last one … was very painful .. up above the hair-line on the base of my neck, it took a long time for him to get that one. It was frightening. It was close to the base of my skull closest one to my brain and my spinal column.  I knew my time was getting closer to leave my family.

2013-2014 was spent learning the good and the bad things about this Highly Unregulated Industry. Many countries are growing hemp. The Stalks and roots are left and these are sent to China as Industrial Hemp Waste. The Chinese processed the hemp stalks and the roots into industrial hemp waste paste and pack it into drums and sell it this product.  Desperate parents unable to get medicine for babies and the medicine they were using was Industrial Hemp Waste Products from China should be no THC high CBD no high for the babies oh NO!! It takes time to expose people who are doing things wrong. Right away seeing this people desperate for medicine were being railroaded into trying snake oil. Babies were sick and hospitalized. At that time my own illness had to be placed on the back burner and someone had to save the Children! It had to be me! Oh my goodness!

I Found myself on a forum Children using Cannabis, CBD, sites on Facebook or Scam sites to protect as many as could be protected. Names are found quickly and you may no longer be able to see what is happening in the bad part. The Stanley Brothers in Colorado Springs area are using the Federal Government and the Hemp Farm Act to try to provide CBD Hemp Oil to children with seizures.

More information on the scams of the “Realm of Caring”

Charlatan’s Web: A CBD Debacle

Snake Oil: History repeats itself

Problem not enough THC the oil quits working for the children and they begin to have break through seizures.  The parents in Legal Cannabis States can supplement the THC that is needed. Those who allowed CBD Only or Limited bills are not BEING SERVED! It is broken and not working!  Even the high CBD comes from the leaves and flowers of the Cannabis Plant not a hemp plant. Each strain has different ratios of CBD/THC/CBG/THCa there are hundreds of compounds. Cannabis  makes flowers and leaves … Hemp provides very little useable compounds as there are no flowers for industrial products hemp oil, hemcrete, cloth, paper, art, and other industries. The new Charlotte’s Web has changed from Cannabis hybrid with R4  hemp to get the CBD up and the THC down. That was then! Now the Stanley Brothers are providing Charlotte’s Web HEMP OIL! Please you must educate and protect as there are no safeguards other than each state’s laws. Right now not one of the bills in the CBD only states are currently working, at this time to my knowledge. Know many of these parent warriors.

an article on THC and THCa Helping a little girl with her seizures click here

Texas Parents and Patients have no laws are really in better shape going into Texas Senate 2015 Sessions than all the states who had someone from the Stanley camp go in and understand what they were doing during 2014. So not one of those states are really working this gives Texas the opportunity to not make the same CBD or hemp Oil mistakes. When you limit number of Compounds you limit patients ability to use the medicine effectively. Most patients have a Cannabis Consultant to make your job easier. Many know strains and number to help cure many illness. We have documented cases with X-ray and Labs which is science based cancers gone. Secondary Cancer from the Radiation Treatment appear to be the most difficult to treat. The Oncologist in Washington, Oregon, California, Michigan, Colorado, New Mexico and others see Cannabis Oil patients are stronger than the ones who are not using Cannabis Oil with Chemo! Some Oncologist are asking can we have them call you! Yes you can! We are about doing God’s Business. It’s His gift to us! Cannabis Oil was used for Thousands of Years, dating back to Egypt. They found Cannabis in the mummy tissue. It’s medicine and our bodies have an entire system to process all the compounds in the plant for use in our bodies. Everything you might know about Cannabis is based on Lies, bigotry and Fear Mongering. That is the hardest part to understand. For years some of us have been made to we are a little less human or worse for having understood all along that something about this no matter how bad the lies, bigotry and fear mongering was .. it felt good and it must have been like that Santa Claus story … or the Easter Bunny … not it was a DEVIL STORY! God, Creator, Spirit Being gave us seeds. Like a tomato. Like a herb. Like a Rose. It’s a plant and it is a great spiritual healing plant provided to us for our health. The only real problem is will the governor we elected help the people of Texas? We must turn that over to God.

First let me assure you the high is … you feel good. It is not like a drunk. If you have not experienced a “high” you should try  it before your worry about your child might be high. Many parents should be reading the “Side Effects” of the Pharma… Phenobarbital (INN) or phenobarbitone (BAN) is( a long-acting barbiturate and the most widely used anti-seizure medication globally. It has sedative properties, but as with other barbiturates, benzodiazepines are more commonly used for this purpose. Anyone else think these lab created, doctor prescribed drugs are a bad idea for children? Some of the AED Seizure meds can cause DEATH as a side effect! Cannabis Oil, ZERO deaths. You can not die from too much Cannabis it never passes the part of the brain that controls your heart or lungs… Just how smart is that??  God made this plant perfect in every way! The Plants come from Seed and it is here for our health and well-being. Sun Grown is the best method as it provides Oxygen in to the air for us to breathe! But if you can not grow legally you can use a closet and grow your plants for your medicine! It is so important for everyone who can grow to please grow and share this gift with others, in a safe manner.

A new study suggests alcohol is more harmful than heroin or crack MOST people would agree that some drugs are worse than others: heroin is probably considered to be more dangerous than marijuana, for instance. Because governments formulate criminal and social policies based upon classifications of harm, a new study published by the Lancet on November 1st makes interesting reading. Researchers led by Professor David Nutt, a former chief drugs adviser to the British government, asked drug-harm experts to rank 20 drugs (legal and illegal) on 16 measures of harm to the user and to wider society, such as damage to health, drug dependency, economic costs and crime. Alcohol is the most harmful drug in Britain, scoring 72 out of a possible 100, far more damaging than heroin (55) or crack cocaine (54). It is the most harmful to others by a wide margin, and is ranked fourth behind heroin, crack, and methamphetamine (crystal meth) for harm to the individual. The authors point out that the model's weightings, though based on judgment, were analysed and found to be stable as large changes would be needed to change the overall rankings

This movement started decades ago. In the meantime we will be dreaming of another place where we can have the Right to Pursue Happiness and Freedoms while healing my body of cancer and disease! We have several Groups of Texans who want to see Cannabis Medicine.   Connecting together on Facebook to be ready to go into Austin when the Session begins 2015. We have circled the Wagons to get our selves together and we are waiting for others to join us!

As more main stream news agency’s are interviewing these parents and patients who are healing across America. Hoping those who read this story will contact Texas Elected officials … if you use this medicine you can not come to Texas. Children and adults must leave Texas in order to cure the illnesses with Cannabis Oil. My goal is for Not One more Texan have to move away for Cannabis Oil. Hoping we can gather more help from the Grass Root efforts.

Choosing to be a Non-Dues paying member to anyone’s group. I dab (pun) some from all of the Facebook groups. Just not sure which ones to trust and which ones to not trust. Many are “Grass Roots” until you get on the Cash Cow … as Cannabis … Marihauna … Pot … Weed and other products can change your outlook.

For those who understand Extraction Methods … my personal preference for Cancer treatment is Flowers and Leaf with a full Organic Grain Alcohol Extraction.  The cancer treatment is hard and fast but nothing like Chemo. People usually sleep, eat and enjoy life. Please if you can Grow do Grow and share this wonderful Cannabis Oil with others often!!

Extractions, grows, and other illegal activities are not being conducted at my home. Waiting on the laws to change. We must be ready!

It’s been a short 12 since the Elections … Much is happening in Texas and America … as we get ready to head into the 2015 Session. Texas only meets every other year so if Texas is doing anthing like a Compassionate Care Act Texans must unite regardless of party lines. Compassion knows no party lines.

Earlier this week Rice Univsersity’s, Baker Institute department of Drug Policy provided a Program called “Is Texas Ready for Medical Marihauna?” It was very informative but was a bit weak … sometimes when you work in an area so long you loose sights… Like at the very beginning the news source quoted “Texas Tribune” is a gop rag ran by the very attorney’s representing Governor Perry in a Felony Indictment in Texas. It is definitely, a red rag flying and spreading the news of the gop around. Not a reliable source but are there really any reliable sources?

It’s almost 2 hours long. Ann Lee, with Republican’s Against Marijuana Prohibition has more going on in the Houston area! We are so thankful for Ann who is works long and hard to End Prohibition.

Florida which received 58% of the vote for Medical Cannabis Initiative but 60% was required for a ballot to pass. Florida also had filed a limited bill! Thankfully, it lost in court so it’s back to the drawing board for Florida! Saving states from more bad law is very difficult with people like the Stanley Brother’s from Colorado. The science is in that CBD only does not work without THC. So more bad laws are in place for 2014 and not one is working. The only Compassionate Acts working are using Whole Cannabis Plant based medicine in 23 states and DC.

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/os-charlottes-web-rules-tossed-out-20141114-story.html

Educating those in the Republican Party who hasve taken such a hard hard stance against Cannabis as Medicine will make it hard but not impossible. Texans state wide must make an effort to contact their elected officals if we are to Make it Happen in 2015!! We are working at doing just that in Texas! Texas is a large state and networking together regardless of our affliations must be bipartisan! The Compassionate Cannabis Care Act will be over one of the largests numbers of people to date! We have many in Texas who will benefit from this Legislative Action. This is about Personal Freedom. Freedom! We can no longer allow the Republican Party to use Religion to Stop Cannabis when Cannabis is a Gift from our God/Creator. You can not be Pro-Life and be for Prohibition. It just does not work.

http://www.texasgop.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/2014-Platform-Final.pdf

Alexis Bortell, age 9 is one of DFW Normal’s Poster Children for Medical Cannabis. We have 4 in all but they represent over 85 families not counting the ones we have already sent into other States for Compassionate Care. Alexis’s dad is a Disabled Vet and her mother is as well! Whole Plant is all we can accept in Texas after seeing every bill in 2014 fail to work with a CBD only and no THC or limited amounts.  Alexis has already been to Colorado and has her Red Card for treatment. She is a Texas Girl and wants to stay in Texas. She does not want to live in Colorado. Quite frankly wonder if some in Colorado are a little tired of us sending our sick and disabled there! Texas is losing money every day we do not have laws on the books in Texas for Full Compassionate Care as well as Legalization for Freedoms.  Alexis, spoke at the DFW Marihuana March in October. They estimated over 5000 people in attendance, during the Ebola scare! Thinking that was a good thing. The police departments in both Dallas and Frisco had no problems with our Peaceful March’s to bring about the truth! If you are not on the Cannabis’ side you are on the wrong side of History! End Prohibition Nationwide and Free the POW’s. Leaving no one behind.  As you can see from this video the Employee’s of the State of Texas working for Represenative Scott Turner, appear to have little regard for a young 9 year old girl. They shot the finger at her! A 9 year old in front of TV Camera’s from Channel 33 in DFW area.  Someone said the Video put up by the station when shared was removed from Facebook. As I live a long way from the DFW area was not there in person. This video pretty much sums it up … we are peacefully asking for our Freedom and being ignored by the Republican Elected Officals. We see this as a Public Health Issue which is not being addressed by our State Legislature and across the Bible Belt. Pleople must Stand Up with us! Contacting your elected officials at both the State and National level!

The saddest thing is Cannabis … never hurt anyone. The Lies about this plant have harmed many! If you can grow … grow and share with those who can not.  Onelove

The Tale of The Heart of Atnimera, a cannabis infused Opal emerald amulet

The Tale of The Heart of Atnimera, a cannabis infused Opal emerald amulet

and  Introduction by: Breezy Kiefair
The name Atnimera comes from a fantasy novel series Breezy Kiefair has written. The heart of Atnimera is an amulet in real life that I plan to write into the story. If you would like to read that fictional tale, you may begin your journey here:http://www.scribd.com/doc/77199602/1Of-Dragon-s-Fate-Book-1-Emergence-Part-1-Version3
But this is the tale of a very real amulet made by a wonderful artist and how her artistry inspired me to write a real object into a novel… and how that object became changed and forever infused with cannabis. This object was made by: MaeCody Gems & Jewels you can find her beautiful stone and wire work on Etsy

I wore the Heart of Atnimera for many months. Before I continue, everyone should understand that Opals are a very Brittle stone in need of frequent oiling, a crack in an opal is common and I probably bear most of the blame for it cracking by not oiling it properly. I find no fault in the craftsmanship. The opal in the old Heart of Atnimera had broken. On a day when my heart likewise was broken, but that is another tale. Upon hearing my “other tale”. Wren Déjà Vu SmilingDeer  sat down at her MaeCody Gems & Jewels bench and crafted me this queenly pendant on a beautiful wire work chain.

As soon as the replacement arrived,  I couldn’t help myself… I had to wear the new amulet right away… but a few days later…. I thought about the old and broken Heart of Atnimera… still soaking in the massage oil in my sacred space where I left it.

The Origin of The Heart of Atnimera

By: Wren Déjà Vu SmilingDeer

The life of this amulet is already set into it’s creation Breezy. As enchanting an unnamed creation is a bit tricky but worth the time. Your amulet has been carried with me every day, though all the muck and heavy emotions, through all the joys and trials of time spent with the Creator. She was there when I was joyful, she was there when I was in pain. She was there to listen, and soak up my hopes and dreams. She was there to capture the energies of the Triple Goddess to pass them on to a future with the one she was intended for. Intentions… Your name has been placed on each bend, each turn of the coil, and sets of three. Cleansed, smudged and anointed, I give this gift to you. Please give her a name so she might live.
Emerald Gemstone meaning

The emerald is said to bring the wearer reason and wisdom. The strongest time for the powers of the emerald is said to be spring Lucky for love, give your lover an emerald to stay faithful.

Opal History, Lore and Properties
“Opal…Made up of the glories of the most precious gems, to describe it is a matter of inexpressible difficulty: there is in it the gentler fire of the Ruby, there is the brilliant purple of the Amethyst, there is the sea-green of the Emerald, all shining together in an incredible union. Some aim at rivaling in lustre the brightest azure…of the painter’s palette, others the flame of burning sulphur, or of a fire quickened by oil.” ~ Pliny the Elder
The name Opal is derived from the Sanskrit word “upala”, meaning “valuable stone”. This is believed to be the root word for the Greek term “opallios”, which translates as “color change”.
Opal is thought to have been discovered as long as 4,000 years ago, and myths and lore abound in practically all cultures about this brilliant gemstone. The ancient Greeks thought opal to be the tears of Zeus and prized it as highly as diamonds. They believed opal gave the gift of foresight and prophecy, which would ensure the owner’s success in war, business and life.
The legend of the Australian aborigine tells that opal is ‘creator’s footprint that touched the earth at the base of a rainbow to bring harmony’.
The ancient Romans wore opal as a symbol of hope and purity and believed it could cure illness. In ancient India, opal was referred to as the Goddess of the Rainbow, turned to stone. Ancient Arab cultures believed opal had fallen from the sky and that the play of color was trapped lightning. According to Arab lore, opal could make the wearer invisible. The ancient Australian aborigines, however, believed in a more sinister origin. They thought opal to be half serpent and half devil, and that the brightly colored fire within the stone was an attempt to lure them into the devil’s lair.
Opal has been thought to have healing powers in many world cultures, and in the middle ages, it became known as the Opthalmius, or Eye Stone, and was thought to strengthen eyesight. Blonde maidens wore opals to protect their hair from fading or darkening.
In the Middle Ages, Opal was considered a stone that could provide great luck because it was believed to possess all the virtues of each gemstone whose color was represented in the color spectrum of the opal.
Ethiopian Opal:
This stone is also known as the “Chocolate Opal” because of its chocolate color inside its nodule. Another Opal was discovered with very brilliant colors and mostly red and little blue (unlike those opals mined in Australia) and is called Ethiopian Fire Opal.
There is also Wello Opal which is mined in the high desert of Ethiopia. This is actually a combination of various kinds of opal which are mined in Wello, Ethiopia.
Good Ethiopian opals have diverse play of colors from Neon reds, oranges, green, blue, white, yellow, brown and a fire color. There are even colors that are not present in Australian opals like turquoise and indigos. Ethiopian fire opals are popular as they have striking pattern formations which make each opal so unique.
However, there has also been rumors and superstition about the Opal as being a stone of bad luck. At one point opal had became so popular and wanted that it began to rival the diamond in popularity, so the diamond merchants began spreading the rumor that opals brought bad luck to the wearer. It was quite effective, and even today, there are those who believe it is unlucky to buy or wear one unless it is your birthstone (October)
However, these superstitions of bad luck were not believed by all including the Queen Elizabeth II. She ensured that all her subjects knew that she did not believe in these rumors and superstitions. Throughout her reign, she wore opals herself and gave them to her daughters as gifts. The Queen’s efforts have been credited with helping opal shed its bad luck reputation and regain popularity with the public. http://crystal-cure.com/article-opal-history-properties.html
How to Enchant an Object
To “enchant” an object is to fill it with energy for a specific purpose. While there are all sorts of “ookey-spooky,” and dramatically ritualized methods of doing so, what it all basically boils down to is direct, programmed energy that has been gatherer and shaped by the will of the magician through deliberate visualization. What happens in the mind is a microcosm of what happens in the macrocosm of the physical world. This is what the phrase “As above, so below” means. What happens in the microcosm of our minds can be directly reflected in the macrocosm of the world outside the mind.
So to enchant an object, and there by change it into a talisman, all you need to do is concentrate on directing energy for a specific purpose and direct it into the object. In the case of being “invisible” what you would want to do is visualize yourself walking along in a swirl of concealing mist (this mist represents the energy you are gathering). In you mind, see people starting to look at the mist, only to have their gaze “slide” off, pulled to one side or drawn to something near you rather than focusing *on* you. When you have built a clear image of this in your mind then visualize the ring and see the swirling mist of energy being drawn into and stored within the ring.
When all of the mist has been drawn into the ring you’re done… maybe. At this point you can either “seal” the ring and be done with it, or you can add a “trigger” which will turn the power of the talisman on or off deliberately.
With the former, the power of the talisman will be constantly active and the only way to stop it will be to take it off and place it in a bag or something that has been specifically charged to block the activity of the ring.
With the latter, you install an on/off switch, basically. This can be either as set of spoken words of phrases (make sure it’s something easy to remember, but not so common as to be used in every-day speech: “shields up” and “shields down” works well) or you can use a simple visualization (when you want it to activate, visualize the mist leaving the ring and surrounding you, and when you want it to deactivate visualize the mist being pulled back into the ring.)
Creating the trigger takes a little more work on your part, but is usually well worth it as you can wear the ring at all times without worry. With the other method, you’ll have to deliberately put it on and take it off, which increases the risk of loosing it… and few things are harder to find that an invisibility talisman!
Now as for a protection ritual, I have and example of a personal protection ritual if that’s what you’re actually looking for at http://www.geocities.com/jkarrah/Protection.html
The ring we have been talking about in this example would be perfect to use as the “Personal item” that would be transformed into the talisman.
I would also like to point out that, while the ritual itself appears on the surface to be fairly elaborate, it could be easily adjusted. The cleansing of the ring can be done simply by running it under clear water while visualizing all unwanted energies being washed down the drain, the runes can be drawn on a piece of white paper using ink of your astrological color (if possible write them in a circular pattern the put the ring inside the rune circle), and then just do the chants.
The key to this or any sort of magic is that you have a clear, solid “image” of your intent… what it is you want to have happen. This is what it going to allow your subconscious to gather the energies you need and program them with your desired purpose. If you are uncertain as to *exactly* what it is you intend to accomplish then your results will be uncertain. You don’t have to know the exact mechanics of “how” the task should be accomplished (in fact, it’s usually best if you just set some basic parameters and let the universe take care of the details), but you do need to precisely know and understand the “what” and the “why.”
Also, with an item of jewelry being used as the talisman, it is possible to have the item professionally engraved. For our ring example, if the band is wide enough, you could take it and a straight-line rendition of the protection runes from the above ritual to a jeweler’s and ask if they could engrave those symbols onto the ring for you (do this *before* you perform the ritual).
*A talisman is an object that has been specifically charged to perform a specific function. Talismans are usually, but not always, man made. An amulet, on the other hand, is an object, usually of natural origin (i.e. crystals, stones, plants, *naturally shed* feathers, etc. which have certain “virtues” and magical properties as an inherent part of their existence.http://www.geocities.com/jkarrah/Enchantment.html
The Triple Goddess
The triple moon is a Goddess symbol that represents the Maiden, Mother, and Crone as the waxing, full, and waning moon. It is also associated with feminine energy, mystery and psychic abilities. You often see this symbol on crowns or other head-pieces, particularly worn by High Priestesses.
The Maiden represents enchantment, inception, expansion, the female principle, the promise of new beginnings, youth, excitement, and a carefree erotic aura. The Maiden in Greek Mythology is Persephone – purity – and a representation of new beginnings. Other maiden goddesses include: Brigid, Nimue, among others.
The Mother represents ripeness, fertility, fulfillment, stability, and power. The Mother Goddess in Greek mythology is Demeter, representing wellspring of life, giving and compassionate. Other mother goddesses include: Aa, Ambika, Ceres, Astarte, Lakshmi.
The Crone represents wisdom, repose, and compassion. The Crone in Greek mythology is Hecate – wise, knowing, a culmination of a lifetime of experience. Crone goddesses include: Hel, Maman Brigitte, Oya, Sedna, Skuld, and others.

I have not done a dispensary review in nearly a year, and I have never reviewed a recreational dispensary before. Now, I could have called ahead and had them prepare me a hand picked review sample, but to me, that’s just not a fair way to review. I’d rather walk in unannounced on a holiday weekend. If there are any problems with herb or with staff, they will be apparent under the higher stresss and potentially higher customer volume of the weekend. The point being, I want to make sure I’m pretty much treated exactly like everyone else. I also like to review when I know the boss is likely away doing other things as this can also be a factor in bud and budtend quality. I must say I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff at 3D Cannabis Center . I’ve been happy with the buds thus far too. be sure to pick up a copy of SKUNK Magazine to read Pebbles Trippet“s awesome interview with Toni Fox

RIP Maya Angelou honoring her cannabis connections

SATURDAY, JANUARY 11, 2014

My, Oh Maya

Revered author Maya Angelou, who was the first poet since Robert Frost to read a poem at a Presidential inauguration, writes about her experiences with marijuana in Gather Together, the second installment of her autobiography after the acclaimedI Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.  Angelou, who started life as Rita Johnson from Stamps, Arkansas, was raped at the age of 7, and had an illegitimate child in her teens. Working as a waitress to support her son in San Diego, 18-year-old Rita met two lesbian prostitutes who frequented the bar where she worked. One night, the women invited her to their house for dinner. Angelou recounts: “Let’s have a little grifa before dinner.” Johnnie Mae gave an order, not an invitation. She turned to me.  “You like grifa?” “Yes. I smoke.” The truth was I had smoked cigarettes for over a year, but never marijuana….I was prepared to refuse anything else they offered me, so I didn’t feel I could very well refuse the pot…. I inhaled the smoke as casually as if the small brown cigarette I held were the conventional commercial kind. “No. No. Don’t waste the grifa. Hand it here….try it like this…” I opened my throat and kept my tongue flat so that the smoke found no obstacle in its passage from my lips to my throat…. The food was the best I’d ever tasted. Every morsel was an experience of sheer delight. I lost myself in a haze of sensual pleasure, enjoying not only the tastes but the feel of the food in my mouth, the smells, and the sound of my jaws chewing.  “She’s got a buzz. That’s her third helping.”  …I decided to dance for my hostesses. The music dipped and swayed, pulling and pushing. I let my body rest on the sound and turned and bowed in the tiny room. The shapes and forms melted until I felt I was in a charcoal sketch, or a sepia watercolor. (pp. 52-55) By the end of the evening Rita had arranged to rent the women’s house, putting them to work for her as prostitutes, with her barganing for their services with cab drivers and taking a cut. Meanwhile, she read Dostoevsky and studied dance. Soon the arrangement turned sour and she had to flee back to Stamps, where drinking Sloe gin “numbed my brain” and she had to make herself sick to get rid of the poison.

Rita went back to the West Coast and tried joining the Army in San Francisco, but was turned down because the The California Labor school, where she’d studied dance and drama, was deemed a Communist organization. So she started waitressing again, and smoking pot. Smoking grass eased the strain for me. I made a connection at a restaurant nearby. People called it Mary Jane, hash, grass, gauge, weed, pot, and I had absolutely no fear of using it. In the black ghetto of the forties, marijuana, cocaine, hop (opium) and heroin were only a little harder to obtain than rationed whiskey. Although my mother didn’t use anything but Scotch (Black & White), she often sang a song popular in the thirties that at its worst didn’t condemn grass, and at its best extolled its virtues. “Dream about a reefer five foot long Vitamin [sic] but not too strong You’ll be high but not for long If you’re a viper…” From a natural stiffness I melted into a grinning tolerance. Walking on the streets became high adventure, eating my mother’s huge dinners an opulent entertainment, and playing with my son was side-cracking hilarity. For the first time, life amused me. … I disciplined myself. One joint on Sunday and one on the morning of my day off. The weed always had an intense and immediate effect. Before the cigarette was smoked down to roach length, I had to smother my giggles. Just to see the falling folds of the curtains or the sway of a chair was enough to bring me to audible laughter. After an hour the hysteria of the high would abate and I could trust myself in public. (p. 154).  After a brief stint dancing professionally, she met a married man who told her her, “It’s gauge that’s breaking my marriage….My silly dilly wife stopped letting me have any and she goes around laughing and giggling all the time.” She flushed her pot for him and soon let him lead her into prostitution herself, where she was told if she was good she’d be given some “white girl” (cocaine) but, “They won’t let you smoke hemp, though. They say it makes a ‘ho too frisky. ‘Hos get their heads bad and forget about tending to business.” At the close of the book, another man named Troubador shows her how he shot heroin, and makes her promise to keep her innocence. He gives her his clothes to sell so that she can escape and head back to her Mother’s house. In the following autobiographical installment, Singin’ and Swingin’ and Gettin’ Merry Like Christmas, Rita is discovered while dancing at a strip club in San Francisco and develops a Calypso singing act, changing her name and eventually finding her way to activism with Martin Luther King andMalcolm X, as well as writing with the encouragement of James Baldwin and others. Angelou received over 50 honorary degrees and three Grammys. She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Arts in 2000 and the Lincoln Medal in 2008. PS: Angelou isn’t the only revered US poet to sing the praises of pot. In his book of Haiku She Was Just 17, former poet laureate (2001-2003) Billy Collins wrote: So many nicknames for you  But none as lovely as  marijuana

Set Up and Opening day of the LaMay CANNABIS MUSEUM™ OF COLORADO Behind the scenes

April 18, 2014

It  Was a warm an humid Friday, the topic on everyone’s lips? What are you doing for this year’s 4/20 celebration? I was single minded in my concerns… I had a painting to drop off. Let us back up 6 weeks time. Michelle LaMay announced she would be opening Colorado’s first cannabis History Museum. She got with me (Breezy Kiefair) and asked if I would be interested in donating a painting to the museum. I was informed that my first book, Of Poetry, Pain, and Pot was already to be included among the museum’s exhibits and gift store offerings. I eagerly agreed and allowed Michelle to choose one of my images. I then had the image printed onto canvas and set about touching up that canvas with my own hand and brushes. I had worked many hours a day for many weeks and finally the beauty in my mind had begun to shine through. I called the piece complete and April 18 was the day to hang the canvas in the museum. It was opening day for the museum, so I was kind of expecting everything to be set up and ready to go, but when Michelle opened the trailer, and said, “Help me” there was no considering refusing.  You see, an international film crew was on the way and would arrive within 2 hours time. The museum had not yet had the exhibits set up and there was a ton of work. Michelle had shown up with two willing gentlemen (Charlie Washington and Rick Wainwright) but an extra set of hands were both willing and necessary. The 4 of us were as industrious as bees. We did pause for the occasional bowl, but by the time the film crew showed up, nearly everything was picture perfect. It was heartwarming to see a group of individuals coming together to complete a task. Each of us had our own strengths and infirmities, but together we were whole and up to the task. The activity and the honor of having my painting shown was more than enough excitement for me for 4/20 this year.

A pop-up cannabis museum on wheels? Only in Colorado

reprinted from: http://www.thecannabist.co/2014/04/16/pop-up-cannabis-museum-wheels-denver-colorado/9662/

A mobile cannabis museum — packed into a crowded fifth-wheel with artifacts, interactive displays, photos and media archives on the history of marijuana — that announces its pop-up locations via social media?

Only in Colorado.

“I intend to travel all around the state educating Coloradans about the history of hemp and cannabis,” said Michelle LaMay, the 67-year-old activist behind LaMay’s Cannabis Museum, which opens 4/20 weekend. “I’m parking this weekend in Aurora, and I’ll be posting my location like food trucks do.”

LaMay isn’t lacking passion. As you tour her museum on wheels, she’ll giddily teach you about the state’s laws for carrying, ingesting and growing marijuana — not to mention her own activist roots dating back to 1992 in Mesa County, where she helped collect 5,000 signatures in an attempt to legalize hemp.

Her museum won’t have regular hours or a steady location even, but she’ll announce her hours and location via social media and website. Admission to the museum is free.

“I’ll be at people’s parties and in dispensary parking lots,” LaMay said. “I’ve been booked for those occasions, and I’ll also be at the Pot Pavilion at the Denver County Fair, which I’m very excited about.”

As with LaMay’s five-year-old Cannabis University of Colorado, the museum’s primary goal is education.

“More education about hemp and cannabis can only help raise awareness and acceptance for cannabis and hemp — not just the products but we users also,” LaMay said. “I’m a 67-year-old, and just my mere presence lends credibility to the cause, I’ve been told.”

Cannabis Cookbook Review: Baked Italian

Book Review: Baked Italian: Over 50 Mediterranean Marijuana Meals

3 0f 10 Medicinal Leaves Awarded

1898408_758430664176945_2109424267_o

Sometime in January 2014, a parcel arrived at my post office box unsolicited. I noticed the return address was from Green Candy Press, a cannabis publishing firm for whom I have done some book review work in the past. I opened the parcel and was both excited and disappointed to find a cannabis cookbook inside. At the time, I was living with family members who forbid any extractions while I was staying under their roof. About a month later, I was able to move to a more cannabis friendly environment. At that time, I made the following post on facebook.

“Baked Italian: Over 50 mediterranean marijuana meals” by: Yzabetta Sativa
ISBN: 978-1-937866-18-1
Published by: Green Candy Press www.greencandypress.com
Photos by: Brody Bruce
Today I’m taking a look at their methods for extractions, particularly their olive oil extraction method. (Feb 24, 2014)

purchase your copy: http://www.amazon.com/Baked-Italian-Mediterranean-Marijuana-Meals/dp/1937866181/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394906428&sr=8-1&keywords=Baked+italian — with Yzabetta Sativa

I am so disappointed that I have to give another poor review… 3 of 10 possible medicinal leaves. However, when both publisher and author do not think that the temperature you cook your cannabis is important, well, you just cant get a good review that way. I’d really like this book if Yzabetta Sativaof Green Candy Press would update it to include a portion on Decarboxylation and appropriate temperature and cooking information in the book that has been overlooked in this edition of Baked: Over 50 Tasty Marijuana Treats. I’m honestly in search of a traditional Italian cookbook to fill in some of the gaps in the recipies as far as cooking the meat. The photos in the book are beautifully shot. I have no real complaints with the book up to page 38. Where temperatures are listed, they are often too high (meaning much of your high would be cooked off in the oven) other places there is no mention of heat even where raw meat is concerned (beginning page 47). I would love to give this book a glowing review if these issues were addressed.

For example, the recipe on Page 47 is for Beef Carpaccio. Below follows a photo of the method.

ANYONE ELSE SEE A HUGE GAP IN THE METHOD ABOVE?

The last time I reviewed this publisher, they did not get a stellar review either:

Do’s and Don’ts of Helping a friend with social anxiety or Phobias (Sting and Paul Simon Serenade)

Perhaps you have a friend or mate who becomes intensely uncomfortable in social situations. Or perhaps you yourself have an intense aversion to large crowds or some other phobia that the people around you think you need to “get over”. Getting over these phobias is easier said than done. In this article we will explore some forms of social anxiety from other people’s point of view interspersed with some of my own failures and successes where social anxiety are concerned. I’m going to begin by listing a bunch of attempts that ended with less than successful  or mixed results, I will finish up with some recent victories.

Lets take a journey in the way back machine

and look as some of my past attempts to interact in social situations when there are a lot of people around.

Longmont Colorado City Council chambers

Longmont City Council Chambers 7/27/10

July 27, 2010 1 hour 15 mins to go. I’m sittin in the council chambers….. first signed up to speak, but its agenda item 11A

On July 27, 2010, I gathered my courage and went down to the Longmont, Colorado City Council Chambers to speak about the Council wanting to ban dispensaries in the city of Longmont.  I was terrified. I knew I was walking into a metaphorical “lion’s den” and I was doing it alone. I dressed as professionally as the closet of clothing and fashions provided by the the thrift store on my meager income. I had spent a great deal of time preparing myself for the 3 minute speech I was to give to our city fathers and mothers. I had my speech all written out on 3×5 cards so as to appear more professional. I arrived almost an hour early, but that had more to do with the distance I had to walk and my paranoia that it would take me longer than the average person to walk the 5 mile distance from the place where the RV I lived in was parked and the City Council Chambers. While this experience was a success in that I made it to the city council chambers, I do not count it as a success. I was successful in that I did manage to attend and to give my speech and even go through this same process several more times, even getting my name repeatedly in the Longmont Times Call (the local newspaper) and my little speeches to the city mothers and fathers even were aired on TV, appearing at the time on “The Longmont Channel” (a public access channel serving the Longmont area)

Anyone who may question why I do not consider these exercises a success need only watch the video from one of the city council meetings. Despite the eloquence of my words, you can clearly see (and I even mention) how afraid I am.

I was actually thrown out of the Ganja Gala when a brain injured member of my party engaged people across the vip lines… i was mortified, but also took a stand for the low income people the event coordinators were using for fundraising but not truly helping.

I’ve detailed some pretty sad attempts to interact socially. No matter what I did or how I tried, these social interactions with larger groups of people just kept ending in disaster! Interactions with smaller groups were easier, but still difficult. My fears in social situations had become social anxiety or maybe would be better termed as a social phobia. I simply could not walk into a crowd without running away 3x as fast. Then one day, I found myself interviewing a new roommate and was invited to a concert that I would dearly love to see. I was faced with the old social anxiety dilemma… “do I go and risk running out, or do I not even try?” I decided to keep on trying.

Victory at last! Attendance of Sting and Paul Simon Concert 2/11/2014

Playlist of videos performed at the concert. Please note that this playlist is not the actual concert, it is a peace offering to audio purists because the quality of my video and mic are so poor. I have tried to get the music video the artist produced for mass consumption whenever possible. If an artistic music video was unavailable, I have substituted it with a live performance of much higher quality video/audio than the video I shot.

Some of you know what a huge deal attending last night's concert was for me. Yes, it was amazing to be serenaded by two artists of such high esteem. Yes, it was an enormous gift too big and lovely for me to have even contemplated far outside of what my own income ever has been able to provide... Yet, there is a huge truth that usually would have prevented me from attending. My ptsd has left me with a near phobia of crowds, and it is rare I even attempt attendance where there will be many people except when I need a bit of in person research for kiefair.com and the research cannot possibly be done any other way and is meant to help folks... I am sure there were some folks last night who were waiting to see me run screaming away from the concert. This did not happen. We got there early, and for a full 3 hours I was in the midst of a crowd. In the end, it wasn't the fear, but sting's light show towards the end was just way too much stimuli for me (nearly had a seizure for the first time in a long time). When I could not stand any more, my new roommate was so kind, nonjudgemental, and also was more than ready to go, allowing me not to have to fight the crowd on the way out. If you can see why this image would be a huge deal to me to attend and not run from the crowd, then I thank you for cheering me on. ref: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=751610774858934&set=a.151763424843675.27293.100000300558421&type=1&permPage=1

So, what made this time so much different?

1. This concert was a “bucket list item for me” meaning that I wanted to attend a Sting Concert before I died. The fact that I have so often wanted to attend a Sting concert was a definite factor in me overcoming my fear. The person feeling the fear must be excited enough about the event to overrule the fear. A business event within the industry the person works within can be a double edged sword for those with social anxiety. Those types of events appear attractive because there may or may not be people the person having the anxiety knows at the event. For me, industry events are like kryptonite… I always feel like I’m about to jump into a shark tank. It probably has something to do with my past failures at such events where other people needed me to take a stand, no matter how uncomfortable to me… For this reason, it is not my recommendation to mingle work and your attempts to overcome social anxiety at least in the beginning. If you are strong at work from behind your computer, don’t try to change that dynamic too much to start. It’s more rewarding to make this type of growth outside of the work setting and in a fun setting anyway.

2. I did not have time to overthink the event. The invitation happened the night before the event. I had a clear choice without much waiting or anticipation surrounding it. I said yes, and went the next day. I have sometimes found that when I am given too much time to ponder an event, it makes it impossible for me to attend because my mind is given too much time to ponder the negative possibilities.

3. Choose your mates for the battle carefully! The person attending the event with me knew how difficult the crowd would be for me and made every effort to help me through it. When I became overwhelmed with the crowd, a member of my party directed me to a quiet area to recenter. It did not take me long at all to regain my bearings and be able to continue along our way to our seats despite a long walk and a lot of people to get through. In the past, others have reacted to my fear in far less supportive ways causing me to utterly fail in my attempts to overcome. They probably did not realize they were making it harder for me, so no one is to blame really for my previous failure…. but the point is, the right support can = success.

4. I knew I had permission from myself and those in my party to leave if the experience proved to be too much for me or just became overstimulating in general. We stayed through nearly the entire concert, but this permission did come into play towards the end of the event. We left the event slightly early not because of my fear of any crowds, but from the stimuli of the light show on my seizure disorder.

5. Leaving a little early can help you not have to fight the same crowd twice. By either showing up early and/or leaving early or late, you can effectively avoid having to fight crowds too much. It was a far different experience walking out of the event than it had been walking into the event.

Skilled Grower/Cannabis Extract maker in need of room to rent and grow

In this morning’s conversation with Breezy, she told me that a she has been getting a lot of questions from people seeking help finding housing. She encouraged those in state with specialized cannabis knowledge (grow, extraction, familiarity with colorado cannabis laws and any other nonmonetary “pluses” you bring to the table) to write an ad seeking a roomate. Below is a link to the ad that got breezy into the wonderful situation that has allowed her to pull back from the movement a bit to heal. Breezy said she trusted the universe and her own karma and was more than pleasantly surprised at the strong response. The point is, people new to the state are seeking people with the knowledge you may already have. This is a great currency for finding a roomate even if you can’t chip in on rent very much.
The ad breezy wrote: http://kiefair.com/2014/02/09/skilled-growercannabis-extract-maker-in-need-of-room-to-rent-and-grow/

Those of you out of state seeking to make the exodus to colorado (or another legal state) have a different set of advise from Bree. She says you should move to the state of your choice in an RV or travel trailer if at all possible. This gives you a “home” while you are looking for places in state. It allows you to try out different areas to get a feel for the towns and if you really want to be there. This also allows you to take the expenses of your move in smaller chunks. You have the expense of the rv and the gas $ to get to the state you choose, then time to recover financially for a few months while you house/apartment hunt. This also frees you from depending on someone in state who may or may not have your best interests at heart (I know of mothers being encouraged to move to a legal state mostly so some activist can make a bunch of money dragging the sick kid to rallies and filling their own pocket instead of the child’s needs).

Breezy wants to remind everyone that the housing market for rentals in colorado moves so fast that it took her 5 months to find a place that met her personal needs. Even with a lack of internet access, she is getting questions along these lines on a very regular basis. I hope these tips help folks both in and out of state in tough positions.

REPRINT of the ad that breezy used to get into her current situation shared as an EXAMPLE AD. SHE DOESN’T NEED TO MOVE.

The ad

Spring is coming and soon it will be time to plant your cannabis for your summer grows. Who in colorado has a room to rent. I have been living with my grandparents for the past year and it has been really nice, however they have house rules preventing me from growing my own medication or extracting medication for my medical needs. For many months now, I had been trying to make art sales in hopes saving up for an RV, but I have only been able to put less than $200 away towards that goal, and very little of that came from art sales. I got a seed donation of  $100 when I started the savings fund, and have put every cent of profit from the art (aside from profits that went into donating art pieces to fundraisers for cannabis patients in need).  I just need a room to rent, access to a bathroom and kitchen. I don’t eat much (so limited use of your kitchen, obviously i find my own food) and I don’t leave my room much. I’m a cancer patient and chronically ill. I just want to teach what I know, tend to plants, do my art and writing, and rest.

What I really want is to find a situation where I can grow. Here is a video from one of my former grows to prove I have skills

http://youtu.be/r2q1TWHg3Mc

.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2q1TWHg3Mc

the ladies in the above video are Sour Diesel Strain. It was grown for a private caregiver for the care of his patients.

You can also check out a grow journal I put together from a grow I did as a lowest cost possible grow. Even the seeds came from bagseed. The strain was bubblegum x unknown father.

So, Do you find yourself with an extra room you need rented out and extra space you’d like to fill with a grow but you just don’t have the grow skills yet?

Or maybe you have a grow and an extra bedroom and need someone around to make cannabis cure oil, kief, cannabis butter, and/or other infusions with your trim?

Do you find yourself just wishing there was someone knowledgeable around you had in person to show you how to navigate the hemp rope maze that is cannabis healing?

Well, I’m looking for a place to stay with you. I am a proficient cannabis cure oil (phoenix tears) maker having apprenticed 2 years with a master maker before going out on my own.  These skills are going to waste in my current location to the detriment of many suffering patients. I will be very up front about the fact that not everyone likes my personality. Everyone knows I’m an eccentric artist, so having an area to isolate myself when I happen to be more eccentric than usual is essential for the happiness of all. Another way to say this is, I have PTSD, and need my space. Dont let that bit of honesty frighten you off.

I’m a loving, giving roommate so long as everyone keeps up on their ends of bargains. I’m willing to pay rent and chip in all the way around, but I’m pretty low income and VERY interested in trading some of my skills in payment for a portion of the rent. If i’m growing for your profit, you provide the supplies, i provide the skills and we decide on a % of the harvest weight that is my wages for work.  I am a valid redcard holder who is allowed to grow 18 plants on my own. Someone with an RV sitting on their property or with a guest outbuildings of some type would be ideal…heck, I’d even prolly start making payments to buy the rv off ya.

On location:  i dont really care so long as the roomies want a skilled grower and extraction person to learn from. preferably people more able bodied than i so i can share my brain with their muscles? I’d prefer to be out in the country somewhere at high altitude.

I’d love a secluded spot up in the mountains or out in the country where I can grow indoors and out. If you or someone you know has a situation that would fit any or all of these conditions, pleas contact me. Send me a pm, call 7194800210 , or email btokeefer@gmail.com

I’d like to remain in colorado if at all possible. I’m looking to spend no more than $300/month on the room, plus I can chip in at least $50 TOTAL more towards utilities and internet. MUST have internet without data usage restrictions. My activism depends on that. I would love to be up in the mountains somewhere.

Cannabis Activism Home Movies from the Kiefair Journey

I have tons of videos that are in the raw…. some of them are reviews I never got around to polishing up and making presentable for “prime time audiences” other vids are more like home movies from years of activism work… I took some time seriously considering putting them out for your consumption as they are on my g+ profile… I’m thinking a chronological album on g+ may be the best way to put these out there for anyone interested and also to protect myself from others using fragments of my work and claiming them as their own work…. there are already video fragments out that folks who once called me friend and lover are claiming as their own. the album contains some duplicates (working on removing those for you)  and various drafts (sometimes the drafts are almost better than what i publish_… for its incomplete and raw nature,  I apologize… but here is a slice or real life of cannabis patients. I am seriously considering compiling them together into one video.

Weight Gain Journey of an Intractably Nauseous Stomach

Weight Gain Journey of an Intractably Nauseous Stomach

Some of you know that I have been struggling with nausea and vomiting for years. sometimes it has me under 100 lbs. I’ve been able to be around 110 lbs steady for the past few months, but still want and need to put on another 10-15 lbs so that i will have fat to loose when I happen to have a string of nausea days.  I’m thinking of writing some articles about trying to gain weight while under the cloud of intractable nausea to detail all the lengths I’ve been going to in order to get nutrition in and keep it in. There are so many like me fighting for every calorie they can and it seems there are tons of rip offs and scams in that market as well. I can help others by both detailing what does not work (save them some time and dollars) and if I happen upon something that does work, perhaps us sick folks watching ourselves disappear might be helped. If you do a search, there is all kinds of info on how to drop weight, but not nearly as much about gaining weight when you are suffering from nausea. Currently, I’m on 3 different oral nausea big pharma meds for nausea. 1 pharma suppository for nausea, trying to get an insurance approval meltaway or liquid form of nausea med because I can’t keep my pills down… in addition to cannabis smoke as a nausea med and an appetite stimulant. I’m doing everything I know how. Is it any wonder I’m so grumpy?

I began this journey by ordering some protein powder from Amazon.com

2014-01-12 10.57.49

The weight gain protein powder advertized as 1500 calories per serving actually only has 240 calories per serving unless you can mix it with whole milk. Whole milk is not an option for me. Also, the can only has about 5 days of servings if you take it as directed (2 servings a day). it also does not have nearly the vitamins I had hoped. I’m not sending it back because I need the calories badly. Very disappointed though. My artemisinin for my cancer came in today too. I’ve got to get to where I can keep pill vitamins down before I can start on that one because it must be taken with iron to help with cancer according to the article I read. (to read that article, please visit this link: http://themindunleashed.org/2013/12/little-known-chinese-herb-kills-98-cancer-cells-16-hours.html )

This is the protein powder I ordered online through amazon.com. It cost me $11.34 and shipped for free because I have an amazon prime membership. : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00024CQ74/ref=oh_details_o00_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1d hoped. I’m not sending it back because I need the calories badly. Very disappointed though. My artemisinin for my cancer came i

I got some different protein powder at the healthfood store, mixed it with that disappointing stuff I ordered (had a few things the

new powder did not) then mixed it with the little bit of hemp protein powder (so heavy with shells that I have no choice but to mix it

2014-01-12 10.57.33

with other things or it irritates my gut) and added some soy phosphate granules that I got from the foodbank.

While use of all this protein powder was able to help me maintain my weight,  they did not do much to calm my gut or to get me towards being able to eat solid food. They are all mixed up in powder form to facilitate ease of mixing with liquids. It doesn’t taste bad at all. At least I’m getting some calories in. I’ve been able to keep my probiotic pills down for a day or two and will be starting on some supplements to alkalize my system next. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to keep my big pharma pills and health store vitamins down. The insurance company rejected the meltaway nausea med, so its up to me and my plant knowledge again. January 12 at 10:44am

So, I am satisfied that protein powders do help me maintain my weight, but I’m not buying into them

2014-01-27 11.49.46as a solution for the intractable nausea issue. I have tried other meal replacements such as ensure, pediasure, boost, and similar products on the market. I’m satisfied with the whey protein mix i concocted. In the future I likely will order some other hemp, whey and other protein powders to evaluate different brands.

2014-01-27 12.09.55

decided to get a good multistrain probiotic supplement and add that to the daily mix hoping that the helpful bacteria would also help me want to eat and easily digest what nutrients I do take in Dr. Stephen Langer’s Ultimate 15 Strain Probiotic with FOS is the brand and type of probiotics I decided to try. About the only difference I noticed in my digestion while on these pills was an abundance of flatulence, causing me to take them at night instead of first thing in the morning when they would do me the most good. I’m on the hunt for a probiotic that also puts a variety of good bacteria into my gut, but without the embarrassing gas.

By this point, I was frustrated and disappointed. I had maintained my weight, which was wonderful because both the doctor and I had been concerned I would loose a lot of weight while I was so sick and could not eat solids. Still, I was far from satisfied.

Then, a friend started selling Genesis Pure products. I have been on the Goji Berry juice for about a week and the results have been amazing. Watch for more reviews of Genesis Pure Products to come later.

The goji berry is known by some as the “happy berry” and some evidence suggests that goji juice may promote feelings of well-being. Goji berries, native to the Himalayan mountain range and Tibet, are very hardy and can withstand temperatures as low as -15 degrees Fahrenheit and as high as 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The original writings about goji berries were found engraved on the back of a turtle shell. Genesis PURE™ Goji contains no added sugar or preservatives, and is not diluted with other fruit juices like some other goji products on the market.*Take 1-2 fl. oz. on an empty stomach in the morning and the afternoon or as directed by your healthcare provider. Additional servings may be taken throughout the day if desired. May be taken alone or mixed with other fruit juices. Once opened, consume within 30 days. Refrigerate after opening.* These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.to buy visit:

  • Genesis Pure by Chippewa Ma more on the goji berry:
What Are the Benefits of Goji Berries?Research shows that eating berries — like blueberries, acai berries, cranberries, strawberries, and cherries — offer definite health benefits. It may be because berries like the goji berry are filled with powerful antioxidants and other compounds. Goji berries also have compounds rich in vitamin A.In laboratory tests, antioxidants minimize damage from free radicals that injure cells and damage DNA. When a cell’s DNA changes, the cell grows abnormally. Antioxidants can take away the destructive power of free radicals. Research is ongoing to see if this effect carries over into prevention of disease and aging. Some studies using goji berry juice found benefits in mental well-being and calmness, athletic performance, happiness, quality of sleep, and feelings of good health. These are preliminary studies that need to be repeated before definitive conclusions can be drawn. While goji berries are a rich source of antioxidants, it’s still unclear how they stack up against other berries. Researchers also don’t know whether goji berry supplements have the same health benefits as the actual berries.Do Goji Berries Have Side Effects? There may be some possible herb-drug interactions with goji berries. If you take warfarin (a blood thinner), you may want to avoid goji berries. Goji berries may also interact with diabetes and blood pressure drugs. When eaten in moderation, goji berries appear to be safe.

  • Breezy Kiefair I’m amazed at the effects of the Goji Berry Juice that I’ve been taking morning and night. When I began this therapy, I could barely force down some protein powder. I was so nauseous that I had barely eaten a bite of solid food in 2014. Within 45 minutes of the first ounce I swallowed, I had an appetite and could keep my food down. The effects have remained constant over an entire week’s use. If you are struggling with appetite issues that have you underweight, i would suggest this. This is the first product I have tried that really gives me an appetite. Not even medicinal cannabis could get me to eat but this stuff did!”

2011-07 – 2011-11 Sour diesel Grow pics Grateful Dead “touch of Grey”

I worked a private caregiver’s grow from July 2011 to November 2011. I was paid 1/4 oz medication, a roof over my head for the duration of the grow and use of years old trim with no “sugar” left to medicate me. I was supposed to be medicated for the duration of the grow, and recieve winter lodging NO MATTER WHAT for my efforts. Every silver lining has a touch of grey….

song choice: Grateful Dead, Touch of Grey (fair use, education)

Sour Diesel

Sativa 90 / Indica 10
Origins – Mexican Sativa x Chemo
Flowering – 75-80 days
Harvest – Early November

Beyond the citrus end of the pot palate spectrum lies a sour lemon tang tending toward the heay pungency of an open drum of diesel. This odor is so strong in Reservoir’s Sour Diesel strain that it may need to be masked during growing if stealth is a goal or necessity. Even when dried and carried in a pocket, these buds are smelly enough to raise suspicions. Reservoir drew on the Mexican sativa family and the sativa hybrid Chemo in an effort to produce the most psychedelic non-haze sativa possible.

Sour Diesel is a tall, thin plant suitable for sea or screen of green. She stretches in the first 3 weeks of flowering. By maturity she reaches a daunting 6 feet indoors in a slender version of the classic Christmas tree silhouette. Her foliage purples as it ages, and commonly displays pink-hued pistils. The buds are loose and spear-shaped.

Sour Diesel taste combined with its effects may be considered an “exptreme sport” version of cannabis. The stone pulls smokers into the sky fast with a viscerally uplifting pleasure and lots of consciousness expansion in the direction of spirituality. This good-vibe variety may help alleviate chronic depression, as well as the ordinary blahs by encouraging a change in perspective.

lyrics:

“Touch Of Grey”

Must be getting early, clocks are running late.
Paint by numbers morning sky, looks so phony.
Dawn is breaking everywhere, light a candle, curse the glare
Draw the curtains I don’t care ’cause it’s alright
I will get by, I will get by, I will get by, I will survive.I see you’ve got your list out, say your piece and get out.
Guess I get the gist of it ’cause it’s alright
Oh, well, anyway, sorry that you feel that way.
The only thing there is to say
Every silver lining’s got a touch of grey
I will get by, I will get by, I will get by, I will survive. It’s a lesson to me
The Ables and the beggars and the thieves
The ABC’s
We all think of
And try to keep a little graceIt’s a lesson to me
The Deltas and the East and the Freeze
The ABC’s we all think of
And try to give a little loveI know the rent is in arrears, the dog has not been fed in years
It’s even worse than it appears ’cause it’s alrightCow is given kerosene, kid can’t read at seventeen
The words he knows are all obscene ’cause it’s alright
I will get by, I will get by, I will get by, I will survive. It’s a lesson to me
The Deltas and the East and the Freeze
The ABC’s we all think of
And try to keep a little loveThe shoe is on the hand it fits, there’s all there really nothing much to it
Whistle through your teeth and spit ’cause it’s alrightOh, well, a touch of gray, kinda suits you anyway,
That’s all I had to say ’cause it’s alright
I will get by, I will get by, I will get by, I will survive. It’s a lesson to me,
The deltas and the East and the free
The ABC’s we all must face,
Try to save a little grace. We will get by. We will get by. We will get by. We will survive
We will get by. We will get by. We will get by. We will survive

Hinds’ Feet on High Places is an allegorical novel by English author Hannah Hurnard. Hinds’ Feet was written in 1955 and has become a very successful work of Christian fiction, seeing new editions published as recently as July, 2005.
[edit]Plot introduction

It is the story of a young woman named Much Afraid, and her journey away from her Fearing family and into the High Places of the Shepherd, guided by her two companions Sorrow and Suffering. It is an allegory of a Christian devotional life from salvation through maturity. It aims to show how a Christian is transformed from unbeliever to immature believer to mature believer, who walks daily with God as easily on the High Places of Joy in the spirit as in the daily life of mundane and oftentimes humiliating tasks that may cause Christians to lose perspective.
The book takes its title from Habakkuk 3:19, “The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.”
The story begins in the Valley of Humiliation with Much Afraid, being beset by the unwanted advances of her cousin, Craven Fear, who wishes to marry her. The Family of Fearings seems to have some strong similarities to the Addams Family. Much Afraid is ugly from all outward appearances, walking on club feet, sporting gnarled, deformed hands, and speaking from a crooked mouth that seems to have been made so by a stroke or the like.
The Good Shepherd is tender and gentle with Much Afraid, especially in the beginning. However, His many sudden departures may strike the reader as bizarre, given the human penchant to expect kindly souls to never do everything that may be interpreted as rude or as hurtful in any way. Yet, though the Shepherd leaves in a moment, He returns the same way at the first furtive cry of the forlorn little protagonist. “Come, Shepherd, for I am much afraid!”
When Much Afraid intimates that she would love to be able to dance upon the high places as do the surefooted deer, the Shepherd commends her for this desire. In order to accomplish this, he offers to “plant the seed of love” into her heart. At first sight of the long, black hawthorne-looking seed, she shrieks in fear. Soon, she relents, and after the initial intense pain, she senses that something is indeed different in her, though she still looks the same, for now.
Just when the reader thinks that Much Afraid is about to reach the High Places, the path turns downward towards a seemingly endless desert. There is an incident at the sheer cliff that must be climbed with only one rope, which hangs a long way down to her from the top. Then days are spent in a forest that is shrouded in a thick cloud of fog. During this time Much Afraid is sequestered with her two friends, Sorrow and Suffering, in a log cabin. The climax is an unexpected twist that comes as Much Afraid despairs of ever reaching the High Places.
[edit]Allusions/references to other works

The book bears some stylistic similarities to John Bunyan’s The Pilgrim’s Progress. The name of the protagonist, Much-Afraid, also appears first in Bunyan’s work.

TOKING THROUGH TIN PAN ALLEY (1-1-2014)

the audio has been reworked by Breezy Kiefair. The base audio was a live performance of “Tin Pan Alley” by Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble All images created by Breezy Kiefairl.

Dedicated to the low income cannabis patient left toking through tin pan Alley.

“Tin Pan Alley (aka Roughest Place in Town)” is track #23 on the album Essential Stevie Ray Vaughan. It was written by Geddins.

Tin Pan Alley (aka Roughest Place in Town)

Went down to Tin Pan Alley
See what was goin’ on
Things was too hot down there
Couldn’t stay very long
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Alley’s the roughest place I’ve ever been
All the peoples down there
Lord, they are livin’ for their whisky, wine and gin
She get up in the mornin’
Before the break a day
Before she can wash her face and hand
You know she really did go away
Hey, hey, hey, you tell
What kinda place can this here Alley be?
Well now, every women I get here
Every women I get to know
This Alley takes her away from me
I heard a pistol shoot
Yeah, and it was a .44
Somebody killed a crap shooter
‘Cause he didn’t shake, rattle and roll
Hey, hey, hey, hey
What kinda place can a Alley be?
All those people down there
Lord, they are livin’ for their whisky, wine and gin
I heard a woman scream
Yeah, and I peeked through the door
Some cat was workin’ on Annie with a
Lord, Lord with a two by four
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Alley’s the roughest place, I’ve ever been
All the people down there
Lord, they are killin’ for their whisky, wine and gin
I saw a cop standing there
With hand on his gun
Said this is a raid boy now
Run, run, nobody run
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Alley’s the roughest place, I’ve ever been
Yeah, they took me away from Alley
Lord, they took me right back to the pen

This multi-talented artist and writer amazed me with her insightful and sometimes heartbreaking poetry. Her artwork is not only beautiful, but different from any I have seen. I have actually ordered several individual prints off her website to give as gifts this Christmas. I highly recommend this book.

Would You Like To Pick Breezy’s Brain? This wonderful book is a chance to witness the creative process at work; author Breezy Kiefair (aka Breedheen O’Rilley) is the real deal, a gifted poet/journalist/activist on the forefront of the battle for medical marijuana patients’ rights and for truth in media. And speaking of truth, emotional truth is exactly what you’ll get here. Breezy isn’t afraid to take an open-eyed, unsparing look at society, at herself, at her illnesses, at the lies we tell ourselves and each other — and at the scintillating, breathtaking beauty which is more real and more powerful than all else. Highly recommended.

A bit of Cancer poetry for thought…

To Whom It May Concern
I was run over by the truth one day.
Ever since the diagnosis I have been this way
So burn my body with radiation
Tell me lies about cancer.

Heard the alarm clock screaming with pain,
Couldn’t find myself so I went back to sleep again
So fill my veins with Chemo
burn my body with radiation
Tell me lies about cancer. Every time I shut my eyes, all I see is pain.
Made a little ribbon to remember all the names
So empty out my bank account
fill my veins with chemo
burn my body with radiation
Tell me lies about cancer. I hear they are thinking surgery, hope it’s not my brains.
They’re only gutting fishes for their own personal gain.
So numb my brain with Morphine
empty out my bank  account
fill my veins with chemo
burn my body with radiation
Tell me lies about cancer. Where were you at the time of the crime?
Ripping up the Hippocratic oath, just to make a dime?
So chain my Life with hopelessness
numb my brain with Morphine
empty out my bank account
fill my veins with chemo
burn my body with radiation
Tell me lies about cancer

You put your doctors in, they take their conscience out,
They take the human being and they twist it all about
So take my world away
chain my Life with hopelessness
numb my brain with Morphine
empty out my bank account
fill my veins with chemo
burn my body with radiation

CDPHE, Please keep to the LAW Regarding Privacy

CDHPE Violates Patients Privacy

This past Wednesday, several patients came out in support of the CDHPE MMJ Privacy breach. I’m sure you heard that the CDHPE rejected a petition to stop police from getting our private patient data. Wait, What? You didn’t know about it? Didn’t the Registry contact you about it? Isn’t it is the duty of the Health department to “notify all mmj patients of any changes in the code?” It would be easy to post about the violation on their website, in fact, it should be mandatory! However, they “didn’t realize they were in violation,” so that must be why they didn’t post it? Really?
In Colorado Revised Statues, Regulation 5 it states:
“A). Authorized employees of state or local law enforcement agencies shall be granted access to the information contained within the department’s registry ONLY for the purpose of verifying that an individual who has PRESENTED a registry identification card to a state or local law enforcement official is lawfully in possession of such card. The department shall report to authorized state or local law enforcement officials whether a patient’s registry identification card has been suspended because the patient no longer has a debilitating medical condition.”
So, what’s the problem? Several patients have come forward with the same story. They get stopped for whatever reason, in another state and after the officer calls in, he somehow has knowledge that said person is a “red-card” holder. How can this be? They didn’t offer up the information, so how did they get it? Isn’t the Registry supposed to be confidential and protected? Officers are ONLY supposed to have this knowledge if said person presented them a red-card. In all of these instances, no red-card was presented.
For me, this is a huge problem! It’s bad enough the daily discrimination we face as cannabis patients. We have no protection in housing, employment, CPS or otherwise. The state reeled us in, took our money and then screwed us, bottom line! Offering us “protection and Confidentiality” and we have NONE! Oh, that’s right, we have A20, affirmative defense.
That’s all we have…As far as I’m concerned, the CDHPE should be held accountable. The program should be revised and they should pay a fine! But, I doubt that will EVER happen. It’s all a dangling carrot and the state has and is making bank off of sick people. We get treated like second class citizens and all we want is to be well. To be able to treat ourselves with a plant, without putting poison into our bodies. A plant that works for us all!

Another eye witness to the protest has this to say

MMJ Wobble me

“My comments on the CDPHE illegal violations, first I believe that the CDPHE has proven to be incompetent and no patient should feel confident that this government agency will honor the American peoples rights and protections, furthermore their lack of intelligence is no excuse for the crimes they have committed on innocent mmj patients and all parties of this breach should be terminated, in fact I strongly believe that the mmj patients are better off without an illegal database. I believe that the CDPHE hasn’t fulfilled its end of the deal by passing protected information to those who have no business having it, and it for their ignorance have put near 200,000 mmj patients in harms way by exposing anonymous locations and personal information which would be used to incriminate oneself, I say terminate the CDPHE database and we would rid the mmj patients from an unnecessary harm.”

Privacy is near and dear to the man behind the MMJ Wobble Me pen name. He has even created a social network online meant to offer more privacy while still offering the social networking of sites such as Facebook.

Colorado health authorities reject emergency privacy petition

DENVER (AP) — Colorado health authorities have rejected an emergency petition from medical marijuana patients to destroy the state patient registry because of security breaches.

The state Board of Health apologized Wednesday to marijuana patients who demanded they destroy the 107,000-person marijuana patient registry. The patients are angry about security problems outlined in a June audit. However, the health board unanimously rejected the emergency request, saying they want to hear from the state attorney general before proceeding.

Colorado’s medical patient list is supposed to be accessible to law enforcement only under limited circumstances. But state auditors in June blasted the health department for lax security of the registry. The official who manages the registry told board members the security problems are being addressed.

Some marijuana patients on Colorado’s registry put paper bags over their heads to protest the Board of Health meeting on Wednesday.

Colorado Marijuana Patients Protest Privacy Breaches

DENVER (AP/CBS4) — Medical marijuana patients asked Colorado health authorities on Wednesday to destroy and rebuild the state’s 107,000-person marijuana patient registry because of security breaches.

The Board of Health unanimously rejected the emergency petition. But officials expressed alarm about a recent state audit showing the Colorado Department of Health and Environment isn’t keeping the registry confidential, as required by law.

“Patients can lose their jobs and they’ve had their children taken away, all because it’s been found out they’re a medical marijuana patient,” a medical marijuana patient who didn’t want to be identified for privacy reasons told CBS4.

Colorado last year made marijuana legal for all adults, but medical marijuana cards are still required to shop in dispensaries.

Colorado’s medical marijuana patient list is supposed to be accessible to law enforcement only under limited circumstances. But state auditors in June blasted the health department for lax security of the registry.

In one 2012 case, the health department turned over 107 names to an officer investigating a dispensary, a violation of the protocol for sharing registry information with authorities. In another case, the health department shared with auditors the names of 5,400 people designated to grow marijuana on behalf of others, without notifying the caregivers of the breach.

Auditors also criticized the health department for not getting confidentiality agreements from temporary employees hired to help process medical marijuana applications.

“The registry is compromised beyond repair. We don’t believe there’s any reason to trust this,” said Laura Kriho, who leads a patient advocacy group and filed the emergency petition asking the health department to destroy the database and start it again.

About a dozen protesters pulled paper bags over their heads to protest the privacy breaches outside the Board of Health meeting.

“That is why we are wearing paper bags over our heads; to symbolize these little pieces of paper are probably doing a better job protecting our confidentiality than the health department has,” the patient at the rally said.

“I’m disgusted. No other patients’ medical information is treated this way,” protester Kathleen Chippi said.

The administrator of Colorado’s pot patient registry insisted the state is making security upgrades suggested in the audit. Ron Hyman, the state’s registrar of vital statistics, said the agency needs more time to work with law enforcement and other state agencies to rectify problems involved in keeping the database secure.

“We take security and confidentiality of our registry very seriously,” Hyman said.

Hyman told the health board that isolated breaches notwithstanding, police are allowed to perform only individual registry checks, and only if the patient provides a registry number.

“The way it works is they submit information from the registry card that includes first and last name of the registered, the date of birth, and unique identification number,” Hyman said. “We feel we have prudent practices in place … they are not permitted to go on fishing expeditions.”

And the Colorado Bureau of Investigation confirmed to CBS4 they have a link to the registry. The health department agreed to improve security, but patients say it needs to be done sooner rather than later.

“One of the main reasons that we have a medical marijuana registry is because of the discriminations patients face,” a patient said.

Washington state, the only other state to allow medical and recreational marijuana use, does not keep a patient registry.

Colorado’s medical registry has declined since adult use was made legal, but only slightly. Colorado had 108,481 patients a month before the legalization measure passed, and 106,817 patients at the end of June, the most recent statistics available.

The protesters said they want the registry to continue, but they want it to be rebuilt and kept more secure. Colorado’s pot patients can possess more marijuana than recreational users, and they could face lower taxes, depending on what voters approve this November.

Colorado board rejects petition to stop cops from getting data on med pot users

POSTED:   08/21/2013 02:45:58 PM MDT55 COMMENTS
UPDATED:   08/22/2013 01:04:40 AM MDT
Wayward Bill Chengelis, Chairman of the U.S. Marijuana Party, along with other marijuana patients on Colorado’s registry, attending a state Board of Health meeting, Aug. 21, 2013. (RJ Sangosti, The Denver Post)

The state Board of Health on Wednesday rejected an emergency petition filed by medical marijuana patients who urged the panel to halt the sharing of patient information with law enforcement.

A June audit found that the Colorado Department of Health and Environment hasn’t kept the registry confidential.

The board apologized to marijuana patients who demanded they destroy and rebuild the 107,000-person registry. Information from the registry is supposed to be accessible to law enforcement only under limited circumstances.

Board president Laura Davis said the panel doesn’t have enough information to determine that the registry is not working properly.

That information will come from the state Attorney General’s Office, which so far has made no formal recommendations about what, if anything, should be changed, Davis said.

“We don’t know that we are doing anything wrong,” she said. “The prudent thing to do is have a conversation with the attorney general.”

Audrey Hatfield, president of Coloradans for Cannabis Patient Rights, said three patients had contacted her to complain that officers who stopped them and ran their names through their computers found that they were on the registry. “It has been going on for at least a year,” she said.

Ron Hyman, the state’s registrar of vital statistics, said his office has been in contact with the attorney general “to assure we are adequately following what we should be doing. The audit said we are moving through uncharted waters and we want to be prudent.”

The state has been making changes recommended in the audit, he said.

In a 2012 case, according to the audit, the health department turned over 107 names to an officer investigating a dispensary, a violation of the protocol for sharing registry information with authorities. In another case, the health department shared with auditors the names of 5,400 people designated to grow marijuana on behalf of others, without notifying the caregivers of the breach.

Auditors also criticized the health department for not getting confidentiality agreements from temporary employees hired to help process medical marijuana applications.

Laura Kriho, of the Cannabis Therapy Institute, said she would resubmit the petition. The names on the registry should be confidential “so patients won’t fear being treated as criminals.”

Marijuana activists demonstrated during the meeting outside the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. They wore paper bags over their heads to protest what they called the breach of confidentiality.

claimed medical use of marijuana. Any such property interest shall not be forfeited under any provision of
state law providing for the forfeiture of property other than as a sentence imposed after conviction of a
criminal offense or entry of a plea of guilty to such offense. Marijuana and paraphernalia seized by state or
local law enforcement officials from a patient or primary care-giver in connection with the claimed medical
use of marijuana shall be returned immediately upon the determination of the district attorney or his or her
designee that the patient or primary care-giver is entitled to the protection contained in this section as may
be evidenced, for example, by a decision not to prosecute, the dismissal of charges, or acquittal.
(3) The state health agency shall create and maintain a confidential registry of patients who have applied for
and are entitled to receive a registry identification card according to the criteria set forth in this subsection,
effective June 1, 2001.
(a) No person shall be permitted to gain access to any information about patients in the state health
agency’s confidential registry, or any information otherwise maintained by the state health agency about
physicians and primary care-givers, except for authorized employees of the state health agency in the
course of their official duties and authorized employees of state or local law enforcement agencies which
have stopped or arrested a person who claims to be engaged in the medical use of marijuana and in
possession of a registry identification card or its functional equivalent, pursuant to paragraph (e) of this
subsection (3). Authorized employees of state or local law enforcement agencies shall be granted access to
the information contained within the state health agency’s confidential registry only for the purpose of
verifying that an individual who has presented a registry identification card to a state or local law
enforcement official is lawfully in possession of such card.
(b) In order to be placed on the state’s confidential registry for the medical use of marijuana, a patient must
reside in Colorado and submit the completed application form adopted by the state health agency, including
the following information, to the state health agency:
(I) The original or a copy of written documentation stating that the patient has been diagnosed with a debilitating medical condition and the physician’s conclusion that the patient might benefit from the medical use of marijuana;
(II) The name, address, date of birth, and social security number of the patient;
(III) The name, address, and telephone number of the patient’s physician; and
(IV) The name and address of the patient’s primary care-giver, if one is designated at the time of application.
(c) Within thirty days of receiving the information referred to in subparagraphs (3) (b) (I)-(IV), the state health agency shall verify medical information contained in the patient’s written documentation. The agency shall notify the applicant that his or her application for a registry identification card has been denied if the agency’s review of such documentation discloses that: the information required pursuant to paragraph (3) (b) of this section has not been provided or has been falsified; the documentation fails to state that the patient has a debilitating medical condition specified in this section or by state health agency rule; or the physician does not have a license to practice medicine issued by the state of Colorado. Otherwise, not more than five days after verifying such information, the state health agency shall issue one serially numbered registry identification card to the patient, stating:
(I) The patient’s name, address, date of birth, and social security number;
(II) That the patient’s name has been certified to the state health agency as a person who has a debilitating medical condition, whereby the patient may address such condition with the medical use of marijuana;
(III) The date of issuance of the registry identification card and the date of expiration of such card, which shall be one year from the date of issuance; and
(IV) The name and address of the patient’s primary care-giver, if any is designated at the time of application.
(d) Except for patients applying pursuant to subsection (6) of this section, where the state health agency, within thirty-five days of receipt of an application, fails to issue a registry identification card or fails to issue verbal or written notice of denial of such application, the patient’s application for such card will be deemed to have been approved. Receipt shall be deemed to have occurred upon delivery to the state health agency, or deposit in the United States mails. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no application shall be deemed received prior to June 1, 1999. A patient who is questioned by any state or local law enforcement official about his or her medical use of marijuana shall provide a copy of the application submitted to the state health agency, including the written documentation and proof of the date of mailing or other transmission of the written documentation for delivery to the state health agency, which shall be accorded the same legal effect as a registry identification card, until such time as the patient receives notice that the application has been denied.
(e) A patient whose application has been denied by the state health agency may not reapply during the six months following the date of the denial and may not use an application for a registry identification card as provided in paragraph (3) (d) of this section. The denial of a registry identification card shall be considered a final agency action. Only the patient whose application has been denied shall have standing to contest the agency action.
(f) When there has been a change in the name, address, physician, or primary care- giver of a patient who has qualified for a registry identification card, that patient must notify the state health agency of any such change within ten days. A patient who has not designated a primary care-giver at the time of application to the state health agency may do so in writing at any time during the effective period of the registry identification card, and the primary care-giver may act in this capacity after such designation. To maintain an effective registry identification card, a patient must annually resubmit, at least thirty days prior to the expiration date stated on the registry identification card, updated written documentation to the state health agency, as well as the name and address of the patient’s primary care-giver, if any is designated at such time.
(g) Authorized employees of state or local law enforcement agencies shall immediately notify the state health agency when any person in possession of a registry identification card has been determined by a court of law to have willfully violated the provisions of this section or its implementing legislation, or has pled guilty to such offense.
(h) A patient who no longer has a debilitating medical condition shall return his or her registry identification card to the state health agency within twenty-four hours of receiving such diagnosis by his or her physician.
(i) The state health agency may determine and levy reasonable fees to pay for any direct or indirect administrative costs associated with its role in this program.
(4) (a) A patient may engage in the medical use of marijuana, with no more marijuana than is medically necessary to address a debilitating medical condition. A patient’s medical use of marijuana, within the following limits, is lawful:
(I) No more than two ounces of a usable form of marijuana; and
(II) No more than six marijuana plants, with three or fewer being mature, flowering plants that are producing a usable form of marijuana.
(b) For quantities of marijuana in excess of these amounts, a patient or his or her primary care-giver may raise as an affirmative defense to charges of violation of state law that such greater amounts were medically necessary to address the patient’s debilitating medical condition.
(5) (a) No patient shall:
