Origins and history

The origins of this song are obscure. The earliest extant record is a version noted in Anne Gilchrist‘s Journal of the English Folk Dance and Song Society (1937), learnt from her Welsh nurse in the 1870s under the title “Jack Jintle” with the lyrics:

My name is Jack Jintle, the eldest but one,
And I can play nick-nack upon my own thumb.
With my nick-nack and pad-lock and sing a fine song,
And all the fine ladies come dancing along.

My name is Jack Jintle, the eldest but two,
And I can play nick-nack upon my own shoe.
With my nick-nack, etc.[1]

The more familiar version goes like this:

This old man, he played one,
He played knick-knack on my thumb;
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
Give the dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played two,
He played knick-knack on my shoe;
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
Give the dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played three,
He played knick-knack on my knee;
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
Give the dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played four,
He played knick-knack on my door;
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
Give the dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played five,
He played knick-knack on my hive;
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
Give the dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played six,
He played knick-knack on my sticks;
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
Give the dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played seven,
He played knick-knack up in heaven;
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
Give the dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played eight,
He played knick-knack on my gate;
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
Give the dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played nine,
He played knick-knack on my spine;
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
Give the dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

This old man, he played ten,
He played knick-knack once again;
With a knick-knack paddywhack,
Give the dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

A similar version was included in Cecil Sharp and Sabine Baring-Gould‘s English Folk-Songs for Schools, published in 1906.[2] It was collected several times in England in the early twentieth century with a variety of lyrics. In 1948 it was included by Pete Seeger and Ruth Crawford in their American Folk Songs for Children and recorded by Seeger in 1953. It received a boost in popularity when it was adapted for the 1958 film The Inn of the Sixth Happiness by composer Malcolm Arnold as “The Children’s Marching Song”, which led to hit singles for Cyril Stapleton and Mitch Miller.[3]

[edit]In popular culture

  • The song was parodied in The Two Ronnies skit The Plumstead Ladies’ Male Voice Choir, with funny verses such as: “Her old man, next to you/Needs a damn good talking to/Knick-knack, paddy-whack, now she’s in the club/He’s off boozing down the pub”; and “This old man, he played nine/He’s as bad as your’s or mine/Dick, Jack, Harry, Mack, Trevor, Doug or Mike/All old men are all alike.”
  • Columbo (Peter Falk) used to whistle this tune in several episodes.
  • In the Cheers season eleven episode “The King of Beers”, Norm awkwardly blows a job interview by complimenting his possible future boss’s pants and singing “This Old Man”, something Rebecca said she did when interviewing for her “dream job” at the House of Pancakes.
  • Nerdcore rapper MC Frontalot recorded a track on his album Nerdcore Rising by the name of “This Old Man”. The track’s refrain lines are done in the same meter and the lyrics describe an elderly rapper.
  • The song is referenced by Korn in their song “Shoots and Ladders” along with many other nursery rhymes.
  • Fiddler’s Green sang a version of “This Old Man” on their 2009’s Album “Sports Day At Killaloe” with eleven stanzas.
  • In Mad Men Season 1 Episode 4 “New Amsterdam”, Bertram Cooper whistles it after lecturing Don Draper on the company’s need to keep Pete Campbell.
  • The Wiggles covered this song with Sam Moran on Pop Go The Wiggles.
  • Barney & Friends changes this song with “I Love You”.
  • The song was heavily sampled “This Old Man” by Destiny’s Child in their song “Temptation” from their 1999 album, The Writing’s on the Wall.
  • Paddiwack Song by Ritchie Valens is a Rock and roll version of the song.

Top 11 Herbs for cats (yes they love cannabis!)

This is Hermione. She loves her cannabis. Here she is nibbling away at a fresh cannabis leaf from our grow.

To The music of Stevie Ray Vaughan “Tightrope”

ref:http://www.petmd.com/cat/wellness/evr_ct_herbs#.UCc5Pp2PVXIIf you’re lucky enough to have a garden, a balcony, or even just a sunny window sill, then you can grow your own herb garden. Herbs grow easily, are delicious, and certain plants are not only adored by your kitty, but can also be very good for her health (not to m

ention yours), and useful for treating certain ailments she might have.Even if you don’t have a green thumb, herbs tend to be easy to grow and are worth the minimal effort. And the bonus is, you can grow some for your own cooking pot, too.CatnipAh, the king of cat herbs. Catnip is beloved by felines the world over, and for good reason, it makes them very happy. It’s sort of like an after work cocktail for cats, relieving them of stress and nervousness. Also, if your cat is always scratching, and seems to have itchy skin, a catnip “tea bath” can soothe kitty’s skin.Cat ThymeIf your cat doesn’t react to catnip, then cat thyme may just be you and your cat’s best friend. That is, if you can withstand its awful odor. Cat thyme has the same soothing effects as catnip, with the attendant feelings of contentment. And everyone loves a content cat. If you do go for cat thyme, however, you may want to pot a few plants, as they are very slow growing.

Valerian

This pungent herb is best known for helping people to relax and get a good night’s sleep. Not so for Mr. Whiskers. Valerian works as a stimulant on cats; good for transforming lazy, fat cats into exercise machines. Pair this with the fact that cats actually like eating the plant and you’ve got the perfect formula for a healthy, furry feline.

Peppermint, Pennyroyal and Rosemary

While not quite the right combination (or the right amount of herbs) for a Simon and Garfunkel song, the oil from these three herbs have soothing properties and act as natural insect repellents. If your cat has fleas or is intensely scratching itself, any one (or a combination of all three) can help boost your flea treatment. The most common application for these herbs is in the form of a bath. (Note: Pennyroyal may be harmful or fatal if swallowed, so do not leave the herb lying around where the cat may get to it.)

Licorice Root

Not only does it taste good to your cat, licorice root is good for you, too. As a natural cortisone, licorice root can be used to soothe itchy kitties with allergies, endocrine (the endocrine gland affects metabolism, growth and mood) and digestive issues, as well as respiratory problems like colds, since it soothes mucus membranes. Other benefits of the licorice root include blood cleansing and anti-inflammatory properties, so it can be very useful for cats with arthritis.

Cat’s Claw and Dandelion Root

Both of these herbs are good for you and your cat. A tincture made out of dandelion root and cat’s claw can help with itching for cats, especially those with allergies, as it contains natural cortisone. If kitty is trying to watch her figure, try making her a salad with dandelion leaves.

Goldenseal

No, this isn’t the title of a new James Bond film, but an herb that’s useful for your cat. Goldenseal can be used as a natural disinfectant on wounds, and, in conjunction with saline, may help shrink swollen eyes due to infections and allergies.

Of course, with any treatment, herbal or otherwise, make sure you consult your vet prior to treatment. You can also check in with your local holistic pet store for advice, and read our how-to guide for growing an indoor or outdoor herb garden. Like you, your cat should benefit from these natural wellness boosters, but only under professional supervision. Happy herb growing.

CANNABIS! any grower knows that cats love cannabis…. and grows need to be secured from kitty for that reason…. Be that as it may, it can be fun to watch your cat nibble up a fan leaf (be it moist or dry) and some cats even appreciate a slow blow of smoke into the face or EXTRA gently in the ears. Other cats my just “know” where the smoke in a room tends to hover and may decide that is their favorite perch when mom or dad is medicating. I have used cannabis as an aid (along with lots of love and training) for abused animals who are terrified of humans when they come to live in my forever home. Cats enjoy weed…. and we all know how kitties feel about humans getting in the way of things they enjoy…. Kitty’s unite to legalize Cannabis!

ADDITION making #12 is the humble oat plant!

Many stores market something called “cat grass” and they charge quite a bit for it.  Knowing that catgrass is the humble oat seed in newly sprouted form that the cats love so much.

Shall We Call it Wail Oil or Phoenix Tears?

Its the bitter watches of the night and I wake. I ask myself what it is that has rousted me this day from my slumber. Its not near my body clock’s time of 4am…. There is a wailing in my mind and I must ask myself “whose pain is this?” for I know it is not mine. My body is aching with the storm on the peak, but I’d just found my center and there was no wail with in me like this to speak.

So trying not to wake the other in my bed, I sit quietly and listen to see what it is this wailing voice has come to seek. Its victims so many victims… victims of war, hungry ghosts of a corrupt system, victims of the human butchers and legal poison vendors, victims of industry and victims of hard work, being eaten alive by cancer and bodily disorder of so many shapes and forms it makes me shudder in vibration with this wail. And within me I hold an answer for so many a gift from above that I try to spread without regard to a patient station in life….. It is a wail of responsibility. It is a wail of the profiteer’s victims. It is the wail of prohibitions ugly head……

I light a candle to guard my heart from a wailing so deep in the thick of the night and I still listen to the voice in my mind reminding me of their plight. I sit a while with the lamb in my breath asking that higher than I to step in and take this wail up with my smoke to the sky. I ask for the means to bless those wailing with even a few grams of healing and hope cause I believe in doing what my creator said. And I know that this life and this path I have chosen for myself has never been easy but its not about self.

I give honor to the earth. I burn sacred sage of the earth and cleanse the darkness from my mind until light only remains. I light incense and honor the air. More candles glow and I honor the firey spirit of the soul and I soak in salted and perfumed waters and try to scrub away the victimization of these beautiful souls. Lambs breath fills my pipe and lungs and mind and I try to send a shining beacon of the creators light to these wailing in my mind and in the dark and in their own lives and pain… Dressed for the day I inhale organic tobacco and ponder quietly.

Then another presence comes upon my mind…. and I am taken back though the years and back in time. To a place and time where my body was not constantly sore…. Its boulder its Ginsberg its 1994. Its a little bookish Jewish dude who howled for his time and who brought me to his feet to sit for a time… You see he was my own personal poet willy wonka who saw a bit of my poetry and brought me on up to the Naropa factory to sit at his feet for the anniversary of his beloved school. It was Allen Ginsberg day in Boulder and I was with the master and yet a child myself….. I remember how he opened my eyes and smoked a blended herbal cigarette with me in an intermission…..

What dreams I have of you tonight Allen Ginsberg as you dreamed of Walt Whitman…. with sick people wailing in the night and my soul howling at the moon of my own inner madness.

I wonder where you are tonight while I feel so small and so responsible. I imagine you my zen master in your own nirvana or perhaps your here again in another body and another life… But from wherever you are I seem to hear your voice reminding me of the power of my pen and of the ideals to which you and I both try to keep. You wanted freedom of the plant and so do I. I’m trying to be a willy wonka for others where you were willy wonks for I… and so my musings and prayers and light intercessions complete I turn to what I can do for those wailing from where I am and put actions to the light that I keep.

And so I begin to wail for these folks online saying with my writers voice and my mighty pen:

I begin with this blessing: Virtual early Sunday morning tokes to all of the Rastafarian sacramental strain lambs breath. For me this strain quiets fears and calms my mind. It clears my mind and puts me in a space where i can enter my creators holy throne room with gratitude and peace instead of chaos and turmoil. It makes me still enough to hear the still small voice of my soul. It points me to currents and springs of strength and reminds me of the good i do. All of this i have for me i extend to you virtually and in energy and prayer.

Note***** There are two sacramental strains to the Rastafarian religion. One is called Lamb’s bread (I have never had the pleasure of smoking this strain) and it is said to have cola’s so large that the buds are sliced up like slices of bread. This is said to be more for dancing and rejoicing before the Lamb. Lamb’s breath is characterized by smaller dense highly resinous buds that are mellow, mind clearing and good for quiet contemplation.

I am still looking for new raw material sources to meet demand. I will pay $100 a pound for quality trim. I know a lot of you usually process your own trim but who cant use an extra few dollars around the holidays that the transaction goes to save lives? Call 719 480 0238. you must be in Colorado. I need bulk i need it quick.

I will travel anywhere in the state and negotiate on price for the right weight of the right stuff. I need trim that bad. I am trying to get people served as quickly as possible while longer term sources Relationships are in the works. Call 719 480 0238. A portion of any and all trim purchased goes to provide free phoenix tears to those in need that is why i need good prices. To put goodies into financially challenged cancer and severe illness folks hands. Lets get those free folks their Christmas presents and the paid folks what they deserve. It will make you feel good to give some people tears of joy.

The rest of you who cannot help with actions you may offer you energy to the task. Never underestimate the power of prayer in intercession for someone else. If we focus good vibes on those free peeps and paid peeps their lives can improve exponentially by far more than me just getting Their oil delivered to them. I invite you to join me in that intention…. No, i challenge you to.

Where is the heart that used to beat in this state for the less fortunate? Have you all gone mad with greed? I am willing to pay a fair price so i can give meds away for free. Will no one support me in that cause? Are you all so rich you can laugh at thousands of dollars? Are you all so unmoved by the plight of the less fortunate? Is there no one who believes in me filling hands where mine once needed filled? No one thinks its good to repay kindness by paying
it forward to others?

I just gotta get these people taken care of. For some it means hope to try for another year. There is a couple who lives on the street. One partner has bone cancer and has all but given up. When my oil is there they live as good as they can and enjoy what life they have. Without the oil bone cancer boy gives up. They cant pay and i don’t care. I wanna give them both some hope and quality of life.

There is a writer whom many respect respect within our community whose belly aches him to no end and he cant sleep among other serious issues that are more private. He works hard for our cause but cant afford oil. He is the very picture of a starving writer and artist with a good soul and I wanna get him some rest and comfort so he can continue to serve us all so well.

There is an awesome bud-tend who works for far less than he is worth. The shop he works for sells oil yet it is out of his price range. A grain of rice a day would stop him from needing a diabetic needle yet his pancreas is far overworked. I wanna be sure he can keep giving patients the strains they need with the brain in his head. I have never left his shop with anything other than a strain to treat exactly the conditions I am concerned about that day mostly due to his knowledge that keeps a wide variety of strains for a wide variety of ailments on the shelves and getting into the right hands.

There are Numerous ladies and gents with tumors praying to avoid chemo and folks hoping not to need their noses scraped off their faces Who cant pay and need mercy. How can anyone deny the value of what i”m trying to accomplish? will no one sell me the raw materials i need to enrich these lives. I have shared but the tip of the iceberg.

Someone calls these folks I’m trying to help jewels in my crown. I bristle at the suggestion. I don’t care about jewels in my crown. If the creator blesses me as such that is incidental. I give because i know need better than most and to repay the kindnesses done for me by good people when i had nothing.

I do it because someone needs to and far too many are far too concerned with profit. I do it because these are victims of a corrupt system each and everyone in one way or another.

And i do it because it is in my nature to do it. And to make my murdered son proud of me from where he sits waiting on me in the afterlife and to make his wait have meaning. Help me make these sick people’s wait have meaning too.

So if you have some trim and a heart call me at 719 480 0238 And lets bless some people together. If you have a heart and no trim please just keep these good folks in your thoughts and prayers or however you communicate with the universe offer some strength in the direction of one or more of these people. Don’t direct it at me please. The sick need your love and light far more than i do.

I ask again! No one thinks its good to repay kindness by paying it forward to others?

And so I move from being woke in the night, to prayer, to action trying to get some help to those who need it most. Won’t you please help me? I want to buy raw materials to make them medicine. That’s all.

The United Nations has declared Colorado and Washington in violation of international treaties following ballot initiatives that have legalized the recreational use of marijuana.

The President of the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB),Raymond Yans, has voiced “grave concern about the outcome of recent referenda in the United States of America that would allow the non-medical use of cannabis by adults in the states of Colorado and Washington, and in some cities in the states of Michigan and Vermont,” according to an INCB press release. The INCB is a quasi-judicial “control organ” for the implementation of the United Nations drug conventions.

Mr. Yans said the referenda in Colorado and Washington state “are in violation of the international drug control treaties, and pose a great threat to public health and the well-being of society far beyond those states.” Yans cited the standard nanny-state reasons for dictating what consenting adult Americans put in their bodies, including mental disorders, and cited the welfare of children as a primary concern of the internationalist organization.

Legalization of cannabis within these states would send wrong and confusing signals to youth and society in general, giving the false impression that drug abuse might be considered normal and even, most disturbingly, safe. Such a development could result in the expansion of drug abuse, especially among young people, and we must remember that all young people have a right to be protected from drug abuse and drug dependency,” the globalist bureaucrat said.

Yans called for the U.S. federal government to “resolve the contradiction between the federal and state levels in the implementation of that country’s obligations under the drug control conventions” and demanded it “take the necessary measures to ensure full compliance with the international drug control treaties within the entire territory of the United States, in order to protect the health and well-being of its citizens.”

In other words, the United Nations insists the federal government perpetuate the destructive and expensive War on Drugs that has fostered a massive prison-industrial complex and ruined countless lives over the last few decades.

As a consequence of the War on Drugs, the prison population in the United States has quadrupled since 1980, primarily as a direct result of mandatory sentencing for drug crimes. Around half of all inmates in federal prisons are there for drug offenses and more than 45 percent of all drug possession arrests in the U.S. last year were for marijuana, according to the FBI’s annual crime report. The United Nations supports this insanity with its call for the United States to obey international drug treaties.

Marijuana legalization is a classic states’ rights and federalist issue. “States should be allowed to make a lot of these decisions,” Rand Paul said earlier this week when asked about marijuana legalization. “I want things to be decided more at a local basis, with more compassion. I think it would make us as Republicans different.”

“I think, for example, we should tell young people, ‘I’m not in favor of you smoking pot, but if you get caught smoking pot, I don’t want to put you in jail for 20 years,’” Paul said.

Fortunately, the tide is slowly turning and many states are finally realizing the War on Drugs is not only grossly unfair, but an immense waste of law enforcement resources and tax payer money.

The United Nations is attempting to insert itself in decisions made by the states and by doing so is acting to perpetuate the War on Drugs. Americans should not only ignore the United Nations and the INCB Secretariat, but the federal government as well when it comes to decisions made by citizens on the local level.

A phenotype (from Greek phainein, ‘to show’ + typos, ‘type’) is the
composite of an organism‘s observable characteristics or traits: such
as its morphology, development, biochemical or physiological
properties, phenology, behavior, and products of behavior (such as a
bird’s nest). Phenotypes result from the expression of an organism’s
genes as well as the influence of environmental factors and the
interactions between the two.
The genotype of an organism is the inherited instructions it carries
within its genetic code. Not all organisms with the same genotype look
or act the same way because appearance and behavior are modified by
environmental and developmental conditions. Likewise, not all
organisms that look alike necessarily have the same genotype.

Just in case I need the info later, I’m told I had 6-8 seizures last night.
Treating with extra white widow. Should have a fresh batch of tears ready for tasting soon.
Perhaps since ingestion levels dropped, the once a week widow was no longer enough.
Last seizure was about 3 months prior with the weekly bowl of white widow.

As of July 18, 2012 no further seizure activity was seen with an increase
of white widow dosage and re-introduction of phoenix tears therapy.

Baking the Blondies from At Home Baked

please read this article on the benefits of hemp seed!

excerpt:

Hemp is a high protein seed containing all nine of the essential amino acids (like flax). It also has high amounts of fatty acids and fiber as well as containing vitamin E and trace minerals. It has a balanced ratio of omega 3 to 6 fats at around a three to one ratio. This won’t help correct your omega balance if it’s off, but it gives you the right balance to start with.

2012-06-18 at home baked blondies review 10 of 10!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’ll end with my previous review of At Home Baked
*****NOTE***** when I wrote this, I had an UN-DIAGNOSED BROKEN PELVIS!
At Home Baked, Baked at Home Before I begin my review of these brownies, let me set the stage… It’s spring in the Colorado Rockies. We’ve had some lovely weather, and I have overexerted myself into intractable pain. A storm begins to move over the mountains threatening our warm weather. I’ve been pushing through the intractable pain and working with the aid of cannabis hash oil made in the Rick Simpson method, but am still aching. I watch the storm growing ever closer and begin to wish for sleep. Then I remember a gift from ReverendPartridge. I happen to have a box of indica “At Home Baked” Brownies. The good reverend had put them into my hands as a mercy and asked me to try them. So, I hobble into the kitchen with my box of compassion to bake up some mercy. I read the instructions on the box which are as follows:
Baking Instructions
For your At Home Baked experience you need:
A Box of At Home Baked Brownies or Blondies
2 eggs
a little butter or oil to grease baking pan
an 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan
a large mixing bowl
mixing spoon or whisk
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan.
  3. Place dry ingredients into large mixing bowl.
  4. Shake oil packet then add and mix evenly (about 20 strokes)
  5. Add eggs one at a time and finish mixing (30 more strokes)
  6. Spread mixed batter into baking pan.
  7. Bake @ 350 Degrees until center sets Approx. 25-35min in 8×8 or 20-30min in 9×9 pan
  8. Let cool then enjoy with caution!
A little goes a long way!
If you aren’t sure weather they are done or not use a toothpick and poke the middle of the mix if it is mostly clean they are done if it is covered in fudgy goodness they need a few more minuets.
(retrieved from:  http://www.athomebakedcolorado.com/baking-instructions/ )
About ten minutes later, they were in the oven, about a half an hour after that, they came out of the oven. I cut the brownies into 8 pieces as directed by the box. As soon as they were cool enough, I plated the brownies and some fresh strawberries and a cup of tea. The brownie’s flavor was decadent rich chocolate on the palate with the familiar notes of cannabis in proper balance with the other flavors. It was enjoyable to eat, but so rich I would recommend you have a drink handy when you serve one to yourself or your patient. Most people would say a glass of milk, but I opted for some tea. I was still awake and in pain an hour and a half later, however I was also capable of laughter. I had not been capable of laughing in some time. This was an improvement. Eager and hoping to achieve an end to the intractable pain shooting through my body, I plated up another brownie. Just as I began munching on the second brownie, snow began falling and I understood why I was having issue getting on top of my pain. It had to be the impending storm making it so difficult to get comfortable. In the end, I ate a nearly half a pan of brownies. I was up most of the night, but once the storm slowed and I found sleep, I did sleep for an increased duration compared with my usual sleep patterns. Before you think this is a negative review, let me remind you of the definition of intractable:
Definition of INTRACTABLE
1
: not easily governed, managed, or directed <intractable problems>
2
: not easily manipulated or wrought<intractable metal>
3
: not easily relieved or cured <intractable pain>
(retrieved from: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/intractable )
The fact that these brownies were able to make me laugh when I was in so much pain is a strong indication to me of a good product. Another Carded individual in the house was asleep within 30 minutes of eating 1 brownie. My assessment, 10 of 10 Medicinal Leaves Awarded! You can find out where you can pick up a box of brownie mix at the At Home Baked website. http://www.athomebakedcolorado.com/
Yes on 64 – Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Donate
Breedheen,
I wanted to make sure you heard the news: According to a Rasmussen poll released over the weekend, Coloradans support regulating marijuana like alcohol by a margin of 61% – 27%! While this news demonstrates the momentum of our campaign, we’ve still got a long way to go to end marijuana prohibition. The most important poll will be the one on November 6, when the voters of Colorado decide whether to adopt Amendment 64. We’ve made a pie chart of the poll to make it easier for folks to visualize the strength of support for regulating marijuana like alcohol. Will you take a moment to check it out, and then ask your friends to join our campaign? Click here to share the poll with your friends and family — and encourage them to join you in supporting Amendment 64. The poll is great news. With your continued support, I know we’ve got what it takes to keep up the momentum and win in November.
Sincerely,
Betty Aldworth
Advocacy Director,
my response:
overall the language is too complex and generally over-regulates the plant. It creates too much red tape that can be used to harm cannabis users in the end… Most users do not understand your bill and will not even read it all the way through. I cannot support it with Michelle LaMay’s petition is so eloquent and simple.
I encourage people to read the language of the 3 bills up for their consideration at this blogpost.
to me
Breezy,The complicated language, and red tape is not designed to harm cannabis users, but to help protect them. The Medical Marijuana system in Colorado is very regulated, but it is also the most legitimate in the country. California’s system is highly unregulated and as a result people still associate it with criminal activity; where as in Colorado most people, even ones who don’t support our cause know that the plant is a great source of medicine.Our bill ensures three very simple things, it allows adults 21+ to possess up to 1 ounce with no criminal penalties, it allows for the cultivation of industrial hemp, and it allows for the sale and distribution of the marijuana.You are entitled to your opinion and beliefs, and I respect those, but we feel the change is needed and that 64 is the best bill to do so.All the best, and thank you for your thoughts,
i will respond properly as soon as I have the strength. You have not changed my opinion and I have had my eye on this bill since before you were gathering signatures and even considered promoting you and passed petitions off to people in un-served areas. I still cannot get on board with your amendment. Michelle Lamay’s relief for possession of cannabis act does all that and more.
Sure, under the like alcohol language, You can Have an ounce if you are over 21 with your bill, but do not attempt to grow your own. Sale and distribution will be in “party stores” basically allowing all dispensary to convert to party atmosphere and legally stop caring for anything other than their bottom line (dispensary owners are thinking why should we care about sick people when we can sell to the fun crowd instead?). Industrial hemp is great, and necessary, but there are other bills to do that too. So what does your bill give consumers that none of the other bills do?
Phoenix Tears Healing a Diabetic Ulcer (updated Journey)
Phoenix Tears aka Rick Simpson Oil aka Hash Oil
Phoenix Tears aka Rick Simpson Oil aka Hash Oil
Before I begin this testimonial, Please take a few moments to acquaint yourself with Phoenix Tears.
Here is a video of how to make the oil. Please also visit the text tutorial here:
http://phoenixtears.ca/make-the-medicine/
for more information on this therapy, please visit the following links:
What It Does & How It Works
http://phoenixtears.ca/what-it-does-and-how-it-works/
excerpt from link:
If you are looking for a safe medication, look no further than what the hemp plant can provide. On top of all that it’s a medicine we can all grow and produce ourselves. Also there is no need for a doctor’s supervision with its use.
When the hemp plant is grown for medicinal use, you now have your own medical system that is much safer and effective than anything our current medical system provides. You still may require a doctor to set your broken leg, but you will no longer need the chemicals they have been pushing upon us.
Hemp is medicine for the masses and no one has the right to control its use. We are all different and we all have different tolerances for practically everything. So it is up to each and every one of us to determine for ourselves how much oil we require to maintain good health.
Over the years people have come to me who after years of treatment by the medical system did not even have a diagnosis for their conditions. But the oil exercised its amazing healing power and their medical problems were solved.
Another aspect of the use of hemp as medicine is its anti-aging properties. As we age, our vital organs deteriorate and of course this impairs the function of these organs.
Hemp oil rejuvenates vital organs even in small doses it is very common for people to report to me that they feel 20 to 30 years younger after only ingesting the oil for a short time.
Now let’s take it to the next level. What about people who ingest larger quantities of oil over a longer period of time like myself? After 9 years on the oil my body does not appear to be that of a 60 year old man. Instead, my body has the appearance of someone who is a great deal younger. When I have the oil at my disposal I like to take about a quarter of a gram a day. Of course, due to short supply, quite often I must go without so my own treatment has been erratic to say the least.
From my own experience with the oil I cannot help but wonder what would happen if a person was to ingest larger quantities of oil over a longer period of time. If a person were to do this, can they actually reverse the aging process and grow younger instead of aging.
From the oils effect on my own body by all appearances this seems to be the case. Someday soon when I have enough oil I intend to start taking a gram a day for a year to see what effect it has on my body.
Many people who have taken the oil have stated that they thought it to be the fountain of youth. From my own experiences with the oil I believe this to be true.
And now…
The Healing Continues….
Fat Freddy‘s treatment began on November 23, 2011. We changed his bandage (covered with phoenix tears oil) every 3 days until around December 12, 2011.
Here is the progress from ! December 12, 2011 to December 26. 2011  (WARNING THIS IS GRAPHIC!)
We saw amazing progress. When the scab initially fell off in November, it left a pitted area from where the sore had been for so many years. In addition to healing over, this ugly pit began to fill in with pretty pink, healthy skin.
We began changing the bandage every 6 days as the healing proceeded.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

December 30, 2011 to January 12, 2012

I did some additional research on diabetes and it’s effects on the skin.

According to WebMD, “Every 30 seconds, somewhere in the world, someone loses a lower limb as a result of diabetes”……

In my opinion, nearly all of those amputations could be prevented if we would stop running from the cure for so many diseases & start using Rick Simpson‘s Run From The Cure method to make Hemp oil.

(link to reference article from WebMD http://diabetes.webmd.com/features/diabetes-wounds-caring-sores)

I did not realize how many DIFFERENT ways Diabetes affects the skin! I’m so glad that I know about the many diseases that are treated and cured with Rick Simpson oil…. There is a cure for Cancer, but it is not FDA approved. Phoenix Tears work! (and diabetes, and Fibromyalgia, and Autism, and so much more!!!)

the below link details the many ways that diabetes affects the skin

April 1, 2012 Update… No April Fool’s joke here!

4/1/2012 Updated image of the healing.

Around one edge, some light scaling of skin remains. The scar itself continues to fill in where it had been an sunken area on the back. We are continuing to change the bandage about once a week. Have a blessed day. We will continue to update this post as we can. The authoress of the post is currently nursing a broken pelvis.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
April 11, 2012
We changed the bandage this morning, lo and behold, all the scaling has gone! We are now continuing treatment only as scar reduction! It has been so amazing to watch this horrible wound heal up and begin to disappear. Here are the latest pics.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

April 20, 2012 to May 5, 2012 UPDATE

There seemed to have been a deeper infection going on. We continued therapy for scar reductive therapy. Now we have entered a second phase of deeper healing. We’re calling it the “Dave Triplett effect”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
for more information please also see:
Cured: A Cannabis Story (A Film By David Triplett)
Cannabis cured my skin cancer. This is my story.
It has been proven that concentrated cannabis extract oil cures cancer.
Why hasn’t The U.S. National Cancer Institute or The American Cancer Society tested Cannabis Oil?. Is it lack of personnel (2,100 USNCI staff members) or limited financial support (USNCI 2010 budget of $5.1 Billion dollars!)
May 18, 2011 still images…. We left Fat Fred’s back open to the air for nearly 1 week prior to these images. This gave his skin some time to breathe without a bandage and demonstrates how quickly the phoenix tears therapy treats wounds and also how quickly a wound suffers when therapy is removed.
2012-06-07 Fat Freddy’s Phoenix Tears Healing update
Continuing the healing with phoenix tears therapy on Fat Freddy’s back. We suspect the sore to be a diabetic ulcer and/or skin cancer. Fat Freddy does not like doctors, so a “proper diagnosis” is impossible. There is already a lively debate in the comments on youtube for this video. I will be altering my method slightly to prove a point because of the complaints registered there.
    • i will send the pics (meaning every digital photo of Westley I have). I understand. I really do. People just believe shit about me that is not true. Ever hear the term silvertongue? The guy who killed Westley, was one. Guess he must have chatted up my ex-husband & co. too. Well the very fact that the pathology report says i was clocked into work at the time science tells us Wes was injured says i did not kill Wes. I love Wheelchair Doug still. Mel had an abortion at the same time i got preggers. She hates me for herself, not for me or Wes. Wes touched a lot of lives in his short life. Honestly, Jason’s family was the biggest problem in our relationship, and he was never abusive except for when they had been torturing him to get me to change my mind about something.
    • i dunno if that clears anything up, but my motives are not what you’ve been told, i assure you. Was i a not so good person when i was with Jason, sure…. I was a crazy bitch at times. I can own that. The grief over Wes killed that selfish bitch. By the by…. I make that treatment i mentioned for your eyes. It’d be an honor to help you if you like.
    • Maybe he found me so his heart can understand the truth, place the blame where it’s due, & take a bit of responsibility. He was Westley’s dad, & he nearly never fulfilled any fatherly responsibilities. Had he been helping, i could have left & saved OUR sons life. I even went back to both Jason & the guy who killed Wes trying to decide who was less detrimental to Westley. I choose poorly with no good safe choices available. Even begged my bio father to get us out.
    • all of that is neither here nor there… I am sure Jason & i have both paid dearly for any karmic debt with Westley. I’m only saying this because as his partner, maybe the information can help you help him. I know well what the grief over an innocent can do.the images are at the other email address.
    • i hope it helps.
REBLOG: Do you still need proof that marijuana cures cancer?
This article presents facts indicating the government and big corporate pharmaceutical companies have known since 1974 that cannabis cures cancer, but continue to fight to keep it illegal.  The drug companies pay lobbyists to court the government, and then give them huge campaign contributions in order to keep marijuana illegal.  These pharmaceutical companies are stealing from our pockets while they continue to legally push toxic sludge that is killing us at a rate higher than cancer.  Why would they legalize it when they will lose maximum profits?
Look at the facts “between 1988 and 2009, pharmaceuticals enjoyed profits 3 to 37 times the all-industry average, depending on years, while investing proportionately less in R&D than other high-R&D firms. Costs of pharmaceutical drugs have successfully flown below the radar in much of the current healthcare debate, with producers managing to obstruct alternative sourcing as well as payment cuts” strose.edu/Business/Pharmaceutical%Profits
They do not want you to use marijuana because this would reduce your need for their pharmaceutical toxins.  They are already noticing a dramatic shift since 16 of the 50 States are recognizing Medical Marijuana.  Recent news indicates that “Lilly reported profit of $858.2 million, or 77 cents a share, down from $1.17 billion, or $1.05 a share, a year earlier. Excluding items, earnings would have been 87 cents a share, above the mean Thomson estimate of 81 cents a share. ”wsj.com
Pharmaceutical companies will argue and refuse to validate the fact that they are losing profits because of marijuana. These companies claim that marijuana is not making an impact but THC, and CBD’s are far more beneficial than just a cure for cancer.
Cancer statistics provide insight into the cancer increase that our country experienced during the years of Marijuana Prohibition.  Since the early 1990’s strides were made for patients to obtain this valuable medicine without persecution, or prosecution.  Since making marijuana available to patients our country has noticed marked decrease in cancer related diseases since marijuana efforts have taken our country by storm.
Research proves that since “1996 Medical Use Legalized in California, California voters passed Proposition 215 allowing for the sale and medical use of marijuana for patients with AIDS, cancer, and other serious and painful diseases. This law stands in tension with federal laws prohibiting possession of marijuana”,pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/dope/etc/cron.html.
The issues are based on lies and not scientific fact and the evidence does not support that marijuana usage can, or will cause any mental, physical, or other related health problem, or condition.  In fact the research provides insight recognizing marijuana as a valuable tool in prevention, detention, and spread of cancer giving it a highly deserved honor of providing substantial health benefits.
People are healthier, happier, and calmer and it is because of compounds inside marijuana.  These compounds are called CBD (Cannabinoids), and THC-Delta 9 (Tetrahydrocannabinol).   The combinations of these compounds are saving lives across the country.  Our politicians continue to argue, lie, and prevent people from accessing this valuable medicine.
When we look back into the past 20 years of our history we will notice that in “1986 Anti-Drug Abuse Act – Mandatory Sentences, President Reagan signed the Anti-Drug Abuse Act, instituting mandatory sentences for drug-related crimes. In conjunction with the Comprehensive Crime Control Act of 1984, the new law raised federal penalties for marijuana possession and dealing, basing the penalties on the amount of the drug involved. Possession of 100 marijuana plants received the same penalty as possession of 100 grams of heroin. A later amendment to the Anti-Drug Abuse Act established a “three strikes and you’re out” policy, requiring life sentences for repeat drug offenders, and providing for the death penalty for “drug kingpins” pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/dope/etc/cron.html.
The debate regarding the death penalty sentencing really concerns most medical marijuana supporters.  The death sentence for alternatively treating your symptoms with a harmless, highly debated, misunderstood weed is seriously disturbing.  What is even more disturbing is that there are people on this earth still believe that alcohol, and prescription drugs are the answer to health.  The problem is the crazy politicians who support this crazy sentence.  In fact one such crazy politician is Newt Gingrich who openly “proposed the death penalty for marijuana — for possession of marijuana above a certain quantity of marijuana — and yet he is among 100 million Americans who smoke marijuana,” Johnson told MSNBC’s Alex Witt over the weekend” huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/13/gary-johnson-newt-gingrich-marijuana-hyprocrisy_n_1146739.html.
How can people possibly choose to debate the medicinal value of this herb?
Why is it ok for a person to be addicted to prescription pain killers, when we know that these synthetic pills are deadly, and “The CDC study found that enough narcotics are prescribed every year to medicate each and every adult in America every day for a month” foxnews.com/health/2011/11/01/prescription-drug-deaths-skyrocket.  These statistics prove that people still find themselves running to the Doctor to obtain a prescription for these toxic mixtures of death.
People are just so quick to reach for a pill for pain.  They do not realize how seriously harmful these medications are for the human body.  We are continuously reminded of these dangers daily.  Just turn on the television and it won’t take long for a prescription commercial to tell you about the symptoms this miracle pill can cure.  They have pills for everything now.  Television sponsors are happy confess that life is awesome and they owe it all to this prescription pill.
These prescriptions are legal but more harmful than marijuana.  Still don’t believe this to be true?  Research will prove that  “From 1997 to 2007, the milligram per person use of prescription opioids in the U.S. increased from 74 milligrams to 369 milligrams, an increase of 402 percent.5 In addition, in 2000, retail pharmacies dispensed 174 million prescriptions for opioids; by 2009, 257 million prescriptions were dispensed, an increase of 48 percent.6 Further, opiate overdoses, once almost always due to heroin use, are now increasingly due to abuse of prescription painkillers” whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/ondcp/policy-and-research/rx_abuse_plan.pdf
Legalization efforts are necessary if we are to continue to benefit from the compounds of this medicinal plant.  Marijuana has many benefits, and people should have the right to choose between deadly synthetics, and a harmless plant.  Shouldn’t we? Cannabis Roots for Medicinal Use
I am intrigued by the part of the cannabis plant that is rarely mentioned except as a topic in a How to Grow book.  I speak of the root of the plant.  Apparently in the distant past, the root of the cannabis plant was used medicinally.  I found mention of it in the wikipedia entry for medical marijuana, where it mentions cannabis root as a diuretic.
I have no idea how cannabis root should be prepared.  Diced, and dried, like onion flakes?  Mashed into some kind of paste?  And then dried nto flour?  A tincture?  Anyway this is an area of the cannabis business that needs to be expanded, after all there are plenty of cannabis roots going into the compost bins aren’t there?  This is  a potential valuable medicinal product that could be produced right now, with presumably different effects than given by the flowers.  Someone needs to collect a bunch of roots and get processing and packaging. Get on it!  :)
have a peaceful day,
Bill
A mother’s grief 12 years later: Westley Thorin Keaton Roberts
It has been 12 years today since your light was snuffed out… I am still here on earth, lingering in a mother’s nowhere-land somewhere between life and death… I am still asking why. I am still lamenting the miscarriage of justice. I have already written extensively on this topic. I have provided my readers with “catch up” links. I don’t have the heart to say much more. I love you Westley Thorin Keaton Roberts. I will never forget you or stop holding the memory of your life in my heart.
This is a video of art I have created between March of 2009 and September 2010. It is set to a song written by a friend of mine in real life from High School after the murder of my only child, Westley Thorin Keaton Roberts (Westley Keaton means ~man from the field where the Hawks go in Gaelic)
Westley Thorin Keaton Roberts
born 10/24/1998
murdered 05/06/2000
Justice miscarried (murderer acquitted on a technicality Jan 2001)
for more information on Westley’s short life, please see the following blog post:
A grieving mama far from home needs her baby’s grave tended. In Hillsdale, Michigan there is a catholic cemetery. The link is to the parish.
contact info St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church
11 N. Broad St.
Hillsdale, MI 49242
Office – 517-437-3305
Fax – 517-437-0034
They should be able to direct you to the cemetery. Just inside the gate by the fair grounds is a big pine tree. Seek out the gravestone of a murdered infant with a puppy on the stone. The name on the stone is Westley Thorin Keaton Roberts. Please clear away the leaves from his stone. Please tell him his mother still loves him and is still crying. If you can, please lay some red flowers there or release red balloons with seeds attached, so that love may grow at random for his memory. October 24, 1998 – May 6, 2000 gone far too soon, but my son, I feel your presence still. http://stanthonypadua.catholicweb.com/
