How to Clean Glass Pipes

HOW TO CLEAN A CANNABIS PIPE WITH HOUSEHOLD MATERIALS

pipe 1

After many uses, our glass pipe will get clogged up with residue and smudge from our homegrown cannabis smoking sessions, making it hard and obnoxious to use. Applying a virtue of patience and use of some standard household materials, we can clean our pipe up, so it seems reliable as brand-new. These techniques and more can also be practiced to cleanse our holy pipe.

Using Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol, particularly Isopropyl are easy to obtain. It can be bought through a local drug store or supermarket. Also, Alcohol is antiseptic and disinfectant meaning it has the ability to eliminate germs and bacteria hiding in out pipe.

  • Discarding residues from the pipe.

Take the pipe upside down and lightly tap to extract any residual particles. Then use a cotton swab, or similarly, thin object to eliminate any large residues, easily removed parts of resin you can reach— using a pipe cleaner can do the job easily.

Do not risk cracking the pipe to reach hard spots, as we only need to discard anything big and easy to reach off instantly. This will accommodate the alcohol cleansed the rest of the pipe quicker.

  • Fill a plastic resealable pouch with the alcohol.

Try and obtain 90% isopropyl, as it will wash the pipe quicker than the more watered-down 70% solution. Put the pipe inside the bag, making sure it is completely immersed in the solution.

Alcohol breaks down gum and resin, delivering it more manageable to expel and wiping off smudges over time.

  • Shake the pipe in the bag.

Make sure to run the salt inside the pipe. If possible, displace the salt in the pipe and then use our fingers to seal off the holes of the pipe. We can then rock up the salt inside the container, getting cleared of as much residue as possible. Shake the bag for a couple of minutes or until the pipe is visibly cleaned.

  • Soak the pipe for a couple of hours

Add a spray of the new alcohol and let the pipe rest for a while, sunk in the fluid, for several hours before jarring it up again. If we are using 70% isopropyl alcohol, then some of the salt may have melted, so be certain to add more further if it seems to be juggling some. Soak the pipe overnight and repeat the method in the morning to clean very dirty soiled pipes.

  • Wash out the pipe with hot water

Discharge all the alcohol and salt from the pipe with hot water and flushed off the rest down the toilet bowl, as it can stink or clogged up our kitchen sink and pipes if left undisturbed.

  • Wipeout any residual spots

With a pipe cleaner or cotton swabs, wipe off any small spots, setting the end of the tool in some clean alcohol to get cleared from any resolute stains. To extract any watermarks or non-resin stains, soak the pipe for about half an hour in a mixture of lukewarm water and lemon juice.

Boiling Water and Dishsoap

Using boiling water, a few dish soaps and a pipe cleaner we can wash the resin out of our pipe easily. The boiling water will wash off/loosen up the built-up resin, making it very easy to expel with a pipe cleaner or brush.

  • In a large pan or casserole, pour a room temperature water and place the pipe.
  • Add a bar of small dish soap or a few drops of liquid dishwashing soap.
  • Boil it for about half an hour.
  • Use tongs to wobble the pipe around in the boiling water to loosen the smudge or resins.
  • Empty water leaving the pipe in the pan and let it cool.
  • Once cool enough to touch, use a common pipe cleaner to remove build-up.
  • Use a decent cleaning brush if necessary or cotton buds with rubbing alcohol.
  • Dry up.

pipe2

Using other household materials

  • Using denture cleaning tablets

Put the pipe in the bottom of a glass bowl or container and fill it up with ample amount of warm water to cover the top. Add 2-3 denture tablets in the container and let it rest and soak for half an hour. The fizzing will shed off a lot of residual materials. this technique is meant to remove smudges and residue.

  • Other alternative household cleaning solutions include:
    • Salt and vinegar
    • Baking soda and vinegar
    • Sand and water
    • Hydrogen Peroxide

Last words

Clean the pipe regularly. A swift rinse and soak in some isopropyl alcohol, practiced once a week, takes only a couple of minutes. But it will keep us from having to resort to extensive cleanings or overnight soakings and keep the pipe shiny and sparkling. Some blemishes will not come out if they soak into the glass, but this only appears if we neglect to cleanse the pipe for several months or years in a row. Take the time immediately to clean it off and our job will be much easier in the future.

A Note from Breezy:

If you use the alcohol method to clean your pipes, you can process the alcohol to make what I call “Poor Man’s Phoenix Tears” to reclaim the resin for topical use (its not suitable for ingestion. See the post “A few words on the properties of Isopropyl Alcohol” for my reasons”) Remember a frequently cleaned pipe is a happy, healthy pipe.

I am so honored that The oil making method I perpetuate (taught by Ronnie Lee Smith {RIP 2014} was awarded athishigh honor by having these links to the method added here as an outreach education for anyone with the will to learn to make the oil.
The #1 topic I get personal messages and calls about? My oil making methods and questions related to the treatment.
I have been with Greenfaith for many years, sometimes a quiet supporter, sometimes I donate, but in the beginning I was among the needy being helped by the good folks at Greenfaith. These links will lead you to my website and much more information. tons of links within links to read. The information is free to anyone willing to read it. Get some raw materials, and make a batch. You might just save the life of a loved one, give them more time than the doctor thinks, or at very least increase the quality of life as its quantity dwindles. I am honored by the words on this page that speak about me of course, but what really matters is passing on the method. Anecdotal evidence is so important in a climate where little real research is being done. This group of whole plant compounds is a healer of many ills. Learn to make it, feed your soul, then feed the oil to a sick loved one and watch them come back a ways from the precipice of death we all must fall from one day.

Pebbles, thank you for your kind words. It’s been a long hard road for me personally, but if the fruit of that road is giving the method I learned to empower the sick, then every step was worth it.
Thanks to Bill Bartlett and Rev Baker for honoring my oil making master, his method and my changes to it to customize it for smaller batches.

I had an opportunity to spend some time with Rev Brandon Baker And several members of the Greenfaith Ministry; it was a true honor to meet people that are so dedicated to helping the sick that they put their personal freedoms on the line to do so.
The good people at Greenfaith Ministry make Holy Healing Oil derived from the Holy Cannabis Plant. And give it to the people who need it. The good people at Greenfaith Ministry have an impressive list of healing ranging from simple scratches to cancer.
How can this be anything less then Gods work?
I urge you to check out the Greenfaith Ministry and all the good they are doing.

I want to specially thank Rick Simpson for saving my wife’s life with his healing oil. some years back my wife Rose was diagnosed with a deadly disease cancer of the lungs, we try all medication all to no avail, we also try to do the oil our selves but we were doing more harm than worse. until I saw a post on face book on how the cannabis oil had cured a cancer patient, I quickly emailed the mail: rev.420@greenfaithministry.com from that very moment we just have to give it a trier, instantly we got a reply from him asking us what the exact cancer problem that my wife Rose has….. He calculated the dosage for us, i think the dosage he calculated was 60 grams of the oil which we ordered plus 30 grams maintenance and also have body lotion and soap. He told us that if we need the donation we must meet the church elder(s)/leader(s) in person then pick it up or have it delivered, my wife Rose started the medication immediately just after a month of using Rick Simpson cannabis oil (FECO, RSO, HOLY HEALING OIL, etc), Rose is now free from cancer problem, she is living a healthy life my utmost priority of sharing this short testimony is for those that are suffering from my kind of cancer diseases or if your friend or family members are suffering from this deadly disease, please don’t die in silence there is a cure for your cancer today don’t waste anytime further you have to email some one for Rick Simpson Oil directly and save your live and the lives of others

Protect Colorado Springs Home Grows

Protect Colorado Springs Home Grows by: Audrey Hatfield

How many registered cannabis patients do you think live in Colorado? How many refugees have given up their former lives to pack up and move here for access to medical cannabis? How many people in general utilize cannabis in some form or another in our state? There are approximately 108,000 registered cannabis patients and out of that many, how many of you have a clue as to what is happening in some city’s across Colorado regarding your rights as a cannabis patient? Very few.

Back in 2012 when the Amendment 64 campaign was rearing its ugly head, I was against it for several reasons. Not because I’m a selfish bitch that didn’t think everyone deserves access to cannabis, it was because, it was and is, a garbage piece of legislative prohibition, designed to benefit our government in the form of higher tax dollars, in disguise as “legalization.” We were all assured by 64 supporters that “medical would not be affected.” A64 was nothing but “legal lies” and too many people lapped it up as “progression” and “baby steps” towards “legalization.” “Regulation works,” “Regulate like alcohol.” Bullshit, all of it, as predicted!

http://www.westword.com/news/marijuana-community-divide-on-amendment-64-deep-wide-often-nasty-5859203

Let’s forget about Amendment 64 for a minute and before you chastise me for using the term “medical cannabis,” there is a difference. That difference is, Amendment 20 and those of us that rely on cannabis as our medicine. For us, it’s not about just “getting high.” And no, I don’t have anything against anyone that does. Cannabis should be available to us all, but not this way. Not thru Amendment 64.

Right now, right under your noses we are slowly being made criminals once again. The MED is “recommending” to all jurisdictions to limit plant counts. One by one, city by city, slowly, Amendment 20 is being blown off by Colorado government officials, in part because of the fact that we have rec and rec generates more tax funds. You might think that it doesn’t matter because we “have A64”. But it does.

In a recent article in local paper the “Gazette Telegraph,” Colorado Springs City Council proposed ordinance 16-52, on May 10, that was signed by Mayor John Suthers, just a few days after on May 13.

http://gazette.com/colorado-springs-mayor-day-of-reckoning-coming-for-citys-illegal-marijuana-growers/article/1577088

In a nut shell, this ordinance (above,) is making it criminal to grow more than 12 plants per household without regard to the fact of ones plant count recommendation (Read above links). Yes, you heard it, it will be CRIMINAL! You will be a CRIMINAL, for exercising your rights under Amendment 20. Pay attention to what this will mean for patients here and eventually in the entire state.

https://coloradosprings.gov/sites/default/files/051016_personal_cultivation_ordinance_16-52.pdf

Colorado Springs is a home rule municipality and basically what that means, is they can make their own rules. HOWEVER, when it comes to this situation they can not decide how many plants a patient is allowed to have! What the fuck? Why is this happening? Amendment 64. Why isn’t it being stopped? Greed and ignorance.

All patients with higher plant counts will be affected, however, the patients that will be hurt the most are some of the many children whose parents moved here to treat their childrens rare illnesses with cannabis. Two of the families that will be affected and turned into criminals if arrested, will be Moms, Rebecca Lockwood and Marisa Kiser. Because of their childrens high plant counts and the negative impact it would have on their childrens health, Rebecca and Marisa, sprung into action. They decided to set up a meeting with City Council to get some answers and find compassion for all patients and spear headed an email campaign to Springs City Council.

Rebecca fears for the health and well-being of her child Calvin, as he has a plant count of 73 to treat his femoral retroversion, a debilitating abnormality, affecting the lower extremities.

http://www.aafp.org/afp/2003/0801/p461.htmlhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8OYxQq7mIE Marisa Kisers son Ezra, just turned 4 and went in hospice when he was just 3. He suffers from violent seizures and at one time, had an unexplained onset of dystonia so severe that he broke 8 bones in one year. He has a 72 plant count. These are just 2 of the families that will be affected by this bullshit.

It was in a May 31 meeting that the Moms were told by the council members in attendance that, “The limited plants counts are just the beginning, a ban will be placed on all home grows, not just here, but thru out the state.” This very phrase was confirmed the beginning of June from council members in a separate meeting between members of council and member Bridget Serrit, of the newly formed organization, Colorado Patient Rights Coalition

108 million patients and only a handful of you are or have been getting involved with the blatant disregard of our rights. This is going to affect you! Understand what it means! Get off of your asses and stand up for yourselves or bow down to your rights being stepped on by our local politicians. We all need to come together in force and show them that this will not be tolerated! Coming together in numbers will have greater impact and that is what it will take. This WILL happen in your town next, you need to be aware and know your rights as a patient.

Whether you grow or not, what can you do? First, research and familiarize yourselves with Amendment 20 and any laws regarding medical access in Colorado. Send emails to your local government officials that are implementing these laws. Call and leave them a brief, yet detailed message. Stand up for your rights! If you are available during the day, attend any protest about the matter that you see being advertised. Protests are being set up right now in Colorado Springs in front of Mayor Suthers office in Colorado Springs, on a monthly basis. The organization also has started a petition that as patients, you should sign.

https://www.facebook.com/events/266481020371172/https://www.change.org/p/colorado-state-house-keep-it-legal-colorado  If you have paperwork to support your plant count recommendation, continue to grow that plant count. If police come to your home, DO NOT, under any circumstances, allow them access inside your home without a search warrant. DO NOT speak to the police. Record audio if they are in your home or at your door. DO NOT be swayed by the scare tactics they will try to use to get you to take a plea deal if you are arrested. You can and will win your case! It has been done! Now more than ever, is the time to get involved! Strength in numbers! Stand up!

Grand Opening of Please Bogart my Bead Art

Please bogart me art proud to begin a period of jewelry creation to give you all a bit more visual candy. Please be patient with me as I set all this up. Remember it’s just me doing everything, and I’m not a well woman. Everything is in its infancy, but I invite you to like Please Bogart My Bead Art on Facebook.

As to any pain I may experience crafting and a few words on the hopes, fears, and materials…
Oh my dear ones, it’s okay. That’s what the pills, scents, and pipes are there for. I complain too much.

Pain is just really making the day difficult. There are so many things I want to do. Beads to sort, pieces of jewelry scattered about like the contents of my heart exploded out onto the bed… Each stone a memory, each glass bead a moment of transformation and atmosphere captured until heat releases it and changes it once more, noble metals waiting for the memories and transformations to be strung together like sun, planets, asteroids and stars strung upon the gravity of the universe. Meanwhile, I must be satisfied with what progress has been made. about to knock myself out of the universe where all is seen in shades of pain. I seek a black hole to hide in and be transformed within.

Maybe someday I’ll emerge into a universe where things are seen in shades of love, shades of pleasure, shades of color and sound, a universe where life is seen in shades of life rather than moment upon moment of pain strung together into a chain that locks body, mind, and spirit down deep in the transformative darkness.

And yet in that darkness I also find the safety and protection you provide. I know you love me as I am, and that is more than anyone could ask for, that you are better than I deserve. If I required more of you than that, it would be quite too much to expect indeed.

I love my patrons!

Introductory Offer!!!

Introductory offer is $42 plus shipping gets you a necklace (1 or two strand), bracelet (if necklace is single, you may have a bracelet, if necklace is double stranded. You will not have a bracelet made without extra costs)

I love my patrons. I’ll love making custom jewelry for my friends. I’ll ship out once a month (just after the full moon) so as to properly charge materials. Materials have been spiritually cleansed at the new moon before they were sorted for use, and will be charged with the full moon before shipping.

I am willing to do rush orders, but it’s easier on my rental car body to ship only once a month afte the full moon and payment is received. Medical bills are stacking up and in praying some beading can help lift the financial burden.

5 years of spreading KiefAir

Kiefair.com is 5 years old today

in its present incarnation, 7 years old if you count the time it was breedheenorilleykeefer.com

Each step along our individual paths changes us. Some experiences grow body, mind, and soul. Other experiences cause those same parts of us to shrink and ache endlessly. The trick is to let each step teach you even if it pains you. When you dedicate yourself to a task with little hope of recognition or monetary gain, many steps on the path are painful. No matter how much you give or how many you touch, there are still more in need. We live in a harsh world. My hat/cancer bandana off to anyone on the path to healing themselves and/or helping a loved one get relief in the most natural way possible. It takes a lot of courage and resolve to reach the end of the modern medicine road and only be left with options you may be logically against (such as chemo). It’s just as difficult to dutifully stand by and genuinely unconditionally love someone whose body is in decline.

As difficult as those decisions are, being public about them makes those choices even harder, but the stories we tell and leave behind in this time when cannabis legality is in its infancy of revival are a testament to the plant, it healing and transformative powers, and the lives of those left searching for comfort when modern medicine can’t offer it. Each of us who has chosen to tell our tale in the public forum of our day (the internet, or public eye in general) is living history. My endless gratitude to all those out there playing nurse to a loved one so limited in physical ability. Watching the cannabis world work to change from prohibition to test markets for medical use to states defying the federal government to decriminalize for adult use has been a heart twisting journey every step of the road. Please don’t forget the chronically ill folks and their caregivers for each recreational bowl you enjoy or sell legally. We still have a long way to go to honor the people who put their entire lives and health on the line in order to create change. Let’s begin by more and more programs to help the low income patients among us.

After many years of dedication to the cause of cannabis education and healing, This is the greatest need I see in the movement today: Just too many folks with too little resources and too much pain while the price of cannabis remains a burden to their largely ssi/ssd funded existences while pounds of useable cannabis are grown in the name of someone suffering and sold elsewhere by their “caregiver” for a profit. We must do better by the low income legal cannabis patient if we ever hope to legalize cannabis for medicinal or recreational use across the board. But as an individual, I can only offer individual mercy. Lately I’ve been giving free oil to individuals legal in Colorado and to cannabis charities such as Greenfaith Ministries. We need to see more of this kind of mercy.

The Greenfaith community supports a wide range of outreach programs, including:

Also feel free to comment on this post for any improvements or changes you would like to see to the site. Moving forward, I have a project to preserve samples of products I make and products available in the market for future research. I imagine a time when we are looking back at this period in our shared history as the dawn of cannabis legalization. I imagine scientists wanting to know exactly what we were using. To preserve this history, the best, the good, the bad, and the ugly, I have procured slides and lab vials to make samples to carry on after us.

And  Phoenix Tears Healing a Diabetic Ulcer (updated Journey)

Fat Freddy has had a sore on his back for about 3 years and it would not heal! We started putting Rick Simpson Oil on it on November 23, 2011 then the next day we checked it and then checked it every 3 days afterwards, changing the oil and bandage every 3 days as well! I documented the process as long as I was the live in maid/nurse for the patient. (WARNING THIS IS GRAPHIC!)

Familial Mediterranean Fever ~ a Rare genetic disease

I do not look like I have a single drop of Mediterranean blood in me, so why do i care about this rare genetic disorder? Because the color of skin is only skin deep. Because despite the pale appearance of my exterior,  I have the genetic ancestor from that part of the world who handed me this recessive trait. Because I have this disease and have to live with it…

Ronnie Lee Smith, aka Roland A Duby made much of Kiefair.com possible. In April 2014, he lost his battle with Leukemia after being falsely imprisoned by Yavapai county in Arizona. We got Ronnie out of jail, but only in time for him to die with a pipe in his hands. While Ronnie was alive, he tasked me to keep his oil making method alive. I have done my best to ensure I keep this task entrusted to me by making his method freely available to anyone willing to learn.

Do you use Kiefair.com? Do you support me giving out info on cannabis oil creation for free? Do you support my free oil program with the colorado cannabis charity known as Greenfaith Ministry? Well, you may be unaware that one little lady pays for all costs associated with KiefAir.com. The way the site stays afloat with its mini library of cannabis related reference information is through sales of art and books. Each year, I must make $300 in PROFITS from the art at my etsy store and my poetry book sales on amazon.com.

Have a look at some samples from my portfolio, all of these images may be purchased to support kiefair.com

Please remember I only make pennies per art print I sell, so I need to sell a lot of pieces each year. I was very worried about keeping the site open for 2015. The holiday season left me with not one sale. But People pulled together, and We are all set to keep the site open through February 2016!

This is the tale of how I kept the site open this time… previous years, the money had come from my medication budget. This year was different… this happened because a long time patron gifted me $100 to bring the hosting fee bar a little lower, but he was a special case, my first patron ever who seems to still want to pay more for some ceramic figures I did when I was about 14. He always sends me some cash during the winter holidays and on my birthday. In truth this anonymous donor has been more of a father to me than my own. One of the few positive male role models i have had in mu life. The rule is to spend it on something for myself. I misbehaved this year and give the gift to you. This year I’m put it towards continuing to give the gift of information via kiefair.com . Pebbles Trippet, a prominent writer for Skunk Magazine bought a clutch of 4×6 limited edition Maya Angelou memorial prints. Other patrons got posters or 8×10 prints and we made our goal to keep the site open! My thanks to all Patrons!

Each year, I allow you, the reader/viewer to decide if kiefair.com stays alive. If I get sales, all profit (save my usual tithe if 10% of all profits) will go to saving KiefAir.com.  I hope we can do better on those sales and keep the site alive. Remember the power is yours to make it live or let the library die. Any image from my please bogart my art page is for sale except the maya portrait.

This review is from: Of Pain, Poetry and Pot (Kindle Edition)
Would You Like To Pick Breezy’s Brain? This wonderful book is a chance to witness the creative process at work; author Breezy Kiefair (aka Breedheen O’Rilley) is the real deal, a gifted poet/journalist/activist on the forefront of the battle for medical marijuana patients’ rights and for truth in media. And speaking of truth, emotional truth is exactly what you’ll get here. Breezy isn’t afraid to take an open-eyed, unsparing look at society, at herself, at her illnesses, at the lies we tell ourselves and each other — and at the scintillating, breathtaking beauty which is more real and more powerful than all else. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent book written by a very gifted, unique woman Breezy Keifair. I loved the whole book and have read it a couple of times so far. She is an artist that does her work under the influence of pot for the pain she is in and you can feel that pain with her words. I could really relate to that and a lot of other things in the book. I highly recommend this book. She is also a very gifted artist besides being a good poet and writer.

Set Up and Opening day of the LaMay CANNABIS MUSEUM™ OF COLORADO Behind the scenes

CANNABIS MUSEUM OF COLORADO Website

Jump to Museum Location page.

April 18, 2014

It  Was a warm an humid Friday, the topic on everyone’s lips? What are you doing for this year’s 4/20 celebration? I was single minded in my concerns… I had a painting to drop off. Let us back up 6 weeks time. Michelle LaMay announced she would be opening Colorado’s first cannabis History Museum. She got with me (Breezy Kiefair) and asked if I would be interested in donating a painting to the museum. I was informed that my first book, Of Poetry, Pain, and Pot was already to be included among the museum’s exhibits and gift store offerings. I eagerly agreed and allowed Michelle to choose one of my images. I then had the image printed onto canvas and set about touching up that canvas with my own hand and brushes. I had worked many hours a day for many weeks and finally the beauty in my mind had begun to shine through. I called the piece complete and April 18 was the day to hang the canvas in the museum. It was opening day for the museum, so I was kind of expecting everything to be set up and ready to go, but when Michelle opened the trailer, and said, “Help me” there was no considering refusing.  You see, an international film crew was on the way and would arrive within 2 hours time. The museum had not yet had the exhibits set up and there was a ton of work. Michelle had shown up with two willing gentlemen (Charlie Washington and Rick Wainwright) but an extra set of hands were both willing and necessary. The 4 of us were as industrious as bees. We did pause for the occasional bowl, but by the time the film crew showed up, nearly everything was picture perfect. It was heartwarming to see a group of individuals coming together to complete a task. Each of us had our own strengths and infirmities, but together we were whole and up to the task. The activity and the honor of having my painting shown was more than enough excitement for me for 4/20 this year.

About Breezy’s Contribution

The title is:

The title is: “the marriage of azalea flowers and cannabis leaves” if you look up the symbolism of the azalea, you will find it stands for feminine self care. This goddess image symbolizes the marriage of feminine self care with the cannabis plant as a medicine. The energy of self care and the compounds of the cannabis plant come together to provide a synergistic healing to the person in question… to be shown in michelle lamay’s cannabis history museum. This is the first painting that I as the artist call one of my masterpieces. A pop-up cannabis museum on wheels? Only in Colorado

reprinted from: http://www.thecannabist.co/2014/04/16/pop-up-cannabis-museum-wheels-denver-colorado/9662/

A mobile cannabis museum — packed into a crowded fifth-wheel with artifacts, interactive displays, photos and media archives on the history of marijuana — that announces its pop-up locations via social media?

Only in Colorado.

“I intend to travel all around the state educating Coloradans about the history of hemp and cannabis,” said Michelle LaMay, the 67-year-old activist behind LaMay’s Cannabis Museum, which opens 4/20 weekend. “I’m parking this weekend in Aurora, and I’ll be posting my location like food trucks do.”

LaMay isn’t lacking passion. As you tour her museum on wheels, she’ll giddily teach you about the state’s laws for carrying, ingesting and growing marijuana — not to mention her own activist roots dating back to 1992 in Mesa County, where she helped collect 5,000 signatures in an attempt to legalize hemp.

Her museum won’t have regular hours or a steady location even, but she’ll announce her hours and location via social media and website. Admission to the museum is free.

“I’ll be at people’s parties and in dispensary parking lots,” LaMay said. “I’ve been booked for those occasions, and I’ll also be at the Pot Pavilion at the Denver County Fair, which I’m very excited about.”

As with LaMay’s five-year-old Cannabis University of Colorado, the museum’s primary goal is education.

“More education about hemp and cannabis can only help raise awareness and acceptance for cannabis and hemp — not just the products but we users also,” LaMay said. “I’m a 67-year-old, and just my mere presence lends credibility to the cause, I’ve been told.”

Hinds’ Feet on High Places is an allegorical novel by English author Hannah HurnardHinds’ Feet was written in 1955 and has become a very successful work of Christian fiction, seeing new editions published as recently as July, 2005.

Plot introduction[edit]

It is the story of a young woman named Much Afraid, and her journey away from her Fearing family and into the High Places of the Shepherd, guided by her two companions Sorrow and Suffering. It is an allegory of a Christian devotional life from salvation through maturity. It aims to show how a Christian is transformed from unbeliever to immature believer to mature believer, who walks daily with God as easily on the High Places of Joy in the spirit as in the daily life of mundane and often humiliating tasks that may cause Christians to lose perspective.

The book takes its title from Habakkuk 3:19, “The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.”

The story begins in the Valley of Humiliation with Much Afraid, being beset by the unwanted advances of her cousin, Craven Fear, who wishes to marry her. The Family of Fearings seems to have some strong similarities to the Addams Family. Much Afraid is ugly from all outward appearances, walking on club feet, sporting gnarled, deformed hands, and speaking from a crooked mouth that seems to have been made so by a stroke or the like.

The Good Shepherd is tender and gentle with Much Afraid, especially in the beginning. However, His many sudden departures may strike the reader as bizarre, given the human penchant to expect kindly souls to never do everything that may be interpreted as rude or as hurtful in any way. Yet, though the Shepherd leaves in a moment, He returns the same way at the first furtive cry of the forlorn little protagonist. “Come, Shepherd, for I am much afraid!”

When Much Afraid intimates that she would love to be able to dance upon the high places as do the surefooted deer, the Shepherd commends her for this desire. In order to accomplish this, he offers to “plant the seed of love” into her heart. At first sight of the long, black hawthorne-looking seed, she shrieks in fear. Soon, she relents, and after the initial intense pain, she senses that something is indeed different in her, though she still looks the same, for now.

Just when the reader thinks that Much Afraid is about to reach the High Places, the path turns downward towards a seemingly endless desert. There is incident with an extremely high cliff that must be ascended by a steep, slippery and very narrow zig-zagging track, with the help of her two companions, Sorrow and Suffering. Then days are spent in a forest that is shrouded in a thick cloud of fog. During this time Much Afraid is sequestered with her two friends in a log cabin. The climax is an unexpected twist that comes as Much Afraid despairs of ever reaching the High Places.

Allusions/references to other works[edit|edit source]

The book bears some stylistic similarities to John Bunyan‘s The Pilgrim’s Progress. The name of the protagonist, Much-Afraid, also appears first in Bunyan’s work.

It is time to get Very real about my illness…… I know many of you have been wondering…. the news has not been good and I am headed out to the doctor again. The problem? my pancreas. The pancreas is responsible for creating several of our digestive enzymes including one called Lipase. My pancreas tends to go nutty at times and make WAY too much lipase. (this explains my inability to keep weight on) when it makes too much lipase, it gets rid of as much of it as possible through my gut and in a normal body would store much of it in my gall bladder. I however, lack a gall bladder having it surgically removed for gall stones in 2006. With no where for all this Lipase DIGESTIVE enzyme to go, it begins to literally EAT my pancreas tissue. You cannot survive without your pancreas. These lipase rich spells have been getting more frequent and lasting longer. The doctors and I both are working to try and keep those numbers down, but until we figure out the mechanism causing the flares (likely due to nothing more than my genetic disease Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) ) there is not much we can do. my body does not tolerate Colchicine the only approved treatment to reduce Familial Mediterranean fever flares. The doctors are doing their best to keep an eye on those lipase levels, keep an eye on my weight and my pain managed. Beyond that there is little more that can be done. If too much of my pancreas is eaten away, I will die. period.

I’m back from the doctor. She upped the dose on the immediate release pain pills, we are still wating on the extended release pills to be available at the pharmacy, gave me more nausea meds, took blood and urine, wants me to see a gastroenterologist soon, and will call me about my pancreas and kidney function. She cautioned me of HIGH urine PH through many of my tests and said I needed to flush my kidneys better (duh.. been drinking cranberry juice since they started aching)… i then made a B-line for the nearest dispensaries and grabbed some meds….. Doc wants me on more medibles and less smoke… sorry doc… the smoke is most effective for my pain in the doses I can afford right now….

  • I have often questioned myself and my worth in the industry which I have chosen for myself. If this past month proved nothing else in my little log of one cannabis patient’s journey, it is that I have indeed helped a lot of people, and that when the chips were down for me, there were many people willing to stand up for me and help me be more comfortable. Over and over I heard, “Breezy you have done so much for other people, its only right that others do for you now.” It also proved to me that my intellectual property is indeed worth being compensated. I am grateful to the person who is compensating me for its use. That being said, and many worries off of my head, this little poetess is going to bed.

prepare quick grits according to package instructions
add 1-2 Tbspns infused organic butter
add seasonings or sweeteners to taste

(i know salt and pepper is traditional on grits, But you add more calories with cane sugar, Molasses or honey)

    • Becky Haines I love me some grits
    • River Valley Pharmz  I have never understood grits…I think they are sum yukkiness and I have tried at least a dozen times to alter that opinion. Then again people look at me in horror when I eat Blue Cheese…
    • Breezy Kiefair well River Valley Pharmz, do you like Hominy corn? grits are made from hominy…. and if you have only tried them the traditional savory way, try them sweet sometime…. and if you still don’t like them, the above method works just as well with oatmeal or cream of wheat.
    • River Valley Pharmz I do not like them in general and it appears to be for no particular reason other the taste.. I do however love oatmeal and cream of wheat especially when my digestive system is feeling like three mile island.
    • Breezy Kiefair well, then add the butter to the breakfast stuff you like… I dunno where my attachment to grits comes from…. I have always loved hominy corn and to my system, its soothing to the gut.
    • Breezy Kiefair ah, no wonder I like them… the process makes it high in NIACIN

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hominy
To make hominy, field corn (maize) grain is dried, then treated by soaking and cooking the mature (hard) grain in a dilute solution of slaked lime (calcium hydroxide) or wood ash, a process termed nixtamalization. Lime and ash are highly alkaline: the alkalinity helps the dissolution of hemicellulose, the major glue-like component of the maize cell walls, and loosens the hulls from the kernels and softens the corn. Some of the corn oil is broken down into emulsifying agents (monoglycerides and diglycerides), while bonding of the corn proteins to each other is also facilitated. The divalent calcium in lime acts as a cross-linking agent for protein and polysaccharide acidic side chains.[2] As a result, while cornmeal made from untreated ground corn is unable by itself to form a dough on addition of water, the chemical changes in masa allow dough formation, which is essential to the ability to fashion dough into tortillas.
Finally, in addition to providing a source of dietary calcium, the lime reacts with the corn so that the nutrient niacin can be assimilated by the digestive tract. While consumption of untreated corn is a risk factor in predisposition to pellagra, as in African countries, the risk is dramatically reduced or eliminated by nixtamalization.[3] The soaked maize is washed, and then ground into masa. When fresh masa is dried and powdered, it becomes masa seca or masa harina.

  • whenever it comes to matters of copyright and intellectual property, breezy asks herself what would Dolly Parton do…. she worked in songwriting at a time when women were often shit-cut out of deals…. Ms. Breezy Kiefair is in a very different use of intellectual property, but whenever I dunno what to do about my intellectual property rights, I take a page from the Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You years.

By 1970, both Parton and Wagoner had grown frustrated by her lack of solo success, and Porter had her sing Jimmie Rodgers’ “Mule Skinner Blues (Blue Yodel No. 8),” a gimmick that worked. The record shot to number three on the charts, followed closely by her first number one single, “Joshua.” For the next two years, she had a number of solo hits — including her signature song “Coat of Many Colors” (number four, 1971) — in addition to her duets. Though she had successful singles, none of them were blockbusters until “Jolene” reached number one in early 1974. Parton stopped traveling with Wagoner after its release, yet she continued to appear on television and sing duets with him until 1976.

Once she left Wagoner, Parton’s records became more eclectic and diverse, ranging from the ballad “I Will Always Love You” (number one, 1974) and the racy “The Bargain Store” (number one, 1975) to the crossover pop of “Here You Come Again” (number one, 1977), and the disco experiments of “Baby I’m Burning” (number 25 pop, 1978). From 1974 to 1980, she consistently charted in the country Top Ten, with no less than eight singles reaching number one. Parton had her own syndicated television show, Dolly, in 1976 and by the next year had gained the right to produce her own albums, which immediately resulted in diverse efforts like 1977’s New Harvest…First Gathering. In addition to her own hits during the late ’70s, many artists, from Rose Maddox and Kitty Wells to Olivia Newton-John, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt, covered her songs, and her siblings Randy and Stella received recording contracts of their own.

Though she was quite popular, Parton became a genuine superstar in 1977, when the Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil song “Here You Come Again” became a huge crossover hit, reaching number three on the pop charts, spending five weeks at the top of the country charts, and going gold. Its accompanying album went platinum and the follow-up, Heartbreaker, went gold. Soon, she was on the cover of country and mainstream publications alike. With the new financial windfall, a lawsuit against Wagoner — who had received a significant portion of her royalties — ensued. By the time it was settled, she regained her copyrights while Wagoner was given a nominal fee and the studio the duo shared. In the wake of the lawsuit, a delayed duet album, Making Plans, appeared in 1980; its title track hit number two on the country charts.

perhaps the saddest and most powerful dolly parton song she ever wrote…

Medicinal Cannabis Activist CreedThis is my medicinal cannabis path.
There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My medicinal cannabis is my best friend.
It is my life. I must master knowledge of it, as I must master my life.Without me fighting for it, my medicinal cannabis is useless.
Without my medicinal cannabis, I am useless.
I must represent the path of my medicinal cannabis life with truth.
I must debate more effectively than my opponents who are able bodied and trying to limit my rights to good health.
I must show my science to lawmakers before lawmakers imprison me or those like me.
I will. Before my creator I swear this creed.
My medicinal cannabis and myself are valuable to the economy of my country.
We are the masters of our legislators, they are in OUR employ.
We are the Saviors of a life giving medication.
So be it … until there is no prohibition.by Breezy Kiefair of The Art of Breezy Kiefair, an artist under the influence of cannabisReefer Gurl,Kiefair.com, and Gardening Tips for the Medically Damned

FAQ’s about Phoenix Tears Therapy for the Beginner

A Heart Filled with love is like a phoenix that no cage can imprison ~Rumi

A Heart Filled with love is like a phoenix that no cage can imprison ~Rumi

There is a cure for cancer and we are here to help you in your pursuit of life.

What if there is an answer to Cancer?

What if doctors already had the knowledge to cure cancer? What if that answer to cancer was a plant easily grown both indoors and out. These are not hypothetical “what if’s” There is an answer to cancer, that answer is Phoenix Tears.

What Are Phoenix Tears?

Quite simply, Phoenix Tears are a potent, concentrated form of the cannabis plant.  This therapy is also known as R.S.O (Rick Simpson Oil), Cannabis Cure Oil, Run From the Cure Oil, F.E.C.O (Fully Extracted Cannabis Oil), Ronnie Smith Oil, Jamaican Hash Oil (like you used to get “back in the day”) Cannabis extract, or simply hash oil. Whatever you call it, it is strong medicine that cures most cancers and can treat many disorders/diseases in the body.

Have Questions? You are Not Alone…

I hope I can offer you a few answers about Cannabis Cure Oil

I get a lot of questions about Phoenix Tears Therapy from people who know very little about cannabis or the healing process with Phoenix Tears Therapy. Therefore, I have decided to provide some information here on the blog to make it easier for everyone.

If you do not know what phoenix tears are or that they cure cancer, or have never heard that cannabis oil can treat and cure a wide variety of diseases, please take time to acquaint yourself with the following information/videos. I have made every attempt to quote my sources wherever appropriate.

2 ounces of oil, eaten over a 90-day time period is the cure for most cancers.  For some patients,it takes less oil/duration of therapy, for others, it takes more. If a patient can tolerate the psychoactive effects of the medication, they should eat as much as they can as quickly as they can.

What if cannabis cured cancer?

Could the chemicals found in marijuana prevent and even heal several deadly cancers? Could the tumor regulating properties of cannabinoids someday replace the debilitating drugs, chemotherapy, and radiation that harms as often as it heals? Discover the truth about this ancient medicine as world renowned scientists in the field of cannabinoid research explain and illustrate their truly mind-blowing discoveries. QUOTES: “What If Cannabis Cured Cancer summarizes the remarkable research findings of recent years about the cancer-protective effects of novel compounds in marijuana. Most medical doctors are not aware of this information and its implications for prevention and treatment. If we need more evidence that our current policy on cannabis is counterproductive and foolish, here it is.” -Andrew Weil, M.D. “A hugely important film” – Julie Holland, M.D. NYU School of Medicine

As the documentary explains, cannabis grew prolifically during ancient times and is thought to be mankind’s firs cultivated plant. Whether it was ground up and used as an ancient ingredient or simply eaten whole, marijuana was thought to be a component of ancient man’s diet, as well as one of his most trusted tools. As recently as the 1940’s, the US government grew marijuana over hundreds of acres and used it to make the ropes on America’s naval warships during World War 2.

In the 1800’s, medical journals published more than one hundred articles touting the benefits and uses of marijuana. The film insists that during the days of house-call-making doctors, marijuana was a part of every physician’s medical bag. One of the most widely prescribed treatments by doctors a century and a half ago, it was used to counter complaints such as labor pains, asthma, rheumatism, nervous disorders, colic in babies and menstrual cramps.

Today, even with the limited testing allowed by the world’s governments, marijuana is inspiring new medical discoveries and unlocking the mysteries of the human body. Some of the quotes put forth in the documentary by experts in the medical marijuana field include, “This group of chemicals has significant anti-tumor properties”, “Cannabis kills cancer cells, in many cases”, “They have anti-tumor effects” and “We know that it kills cancer cells without hurting the non-transformed cells”.

The documentary goes on to remind viewers that marijuana has already been proven to have anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic and anti-bacterial properties – some of the most pharmaceutically-prescribed ailments in America today. The plant’s chemical effects have also proved to safely and successfully treat depression, traumatic stress syndrome, chronic pain, glaucoma, migraine headaches, multiple sclerosis, turrets, nausea and more – all without the deadly and dangerous side effects accompanying pharmaceutical drugs.

Let’s begin with a bit of my personal cancer history

_______________________________

anyone else notice the big lump on the left? look just above the leaves over my shoulder. It began as a lump behind my left ear the ulcer on the top of the head has been there off and on since I was about 9 years old… it would heal up and reopen unexpectedly years later.
there is a cure for cancer… how many beautiful women need butchered because doctors wanna run from the cure for the sake of monetary gain… are you curious about the cure?

I have a genetic disorder that gives me an extremely high tolerance, and I ate 4-10 grams a day for about a month and cured my cancer. VERY few individuals can tolerate that much oil that quickly. It is not going to kill you  no matter how much you take (given that the tears have been made properly and no solvents remain). Most people just can’t take as much as I did and function on any level. I am a unique case on several levels, so my path and speed down that path need not be yours. You know your own body better than anyone else does (with the exception of your understanding of a creator if you have one.) You should be your own judge of what your body needs.

I am not a doctor or licensed herbalist. I am just a lady who has travelled this path trying to offer information to other people considering walking down this path of their own free will.

Just this August, I had cancer for the fourth time.

I fought with myself for a long time about even going to a doctor. MY FREE WILL said that a doctor visit is only a diagnostic tool…. I knew I would not be allowing any cutting… I would not be allowing any chemo… I seriously doubted I’d even submit to imaging (radiation of its own).  Another part of me thought that perhaps I would find some benefit from seeing a western medicine doctor for my cancer… I have had it 3 times before… Still, it was not as if I did not know what I was in for…. I make the cure… I’m was left wondering what to do or to think about it, and it was torture for me and everyone I am connected with…. I made up my own damn mind as always (would you expect anything less?) but, took wise take counsel in many forms before coming to a decision… I hate doctors with a passion, but for the good of my sanity and those around me, I went to the doctor. He said “malignant”, and I went home to eat oil.

I began using the phoenix tears therapy in November 2011 ( 1 drop – 1/4 gram of cannabis oil per day) to aid in the agony that had been diagnosed as “fibromyalgia” (a misdiagnosis, but we will get to that part of the tale later) Even before I went in to see the doctor, I had been stepping up my dosing of phoenix tears from my previous dosing.

On August 20, 2012, my facebook status message read:

my mission for the day? do good and try to heal my own body (we have not gone into a doc, but the phoenix tears is pulling some “very bad things” out of me) We have not decided if a trip to see an oncologist is in order, and even if it is in order, i’m not sure i wanna go see the butchers, submit to the diagnostic torture, and fight with them about my alternative therapy choices… so is my remission at an end or not? does it really matter? the answer is the same… I live in a house that makes the cure…. So I will be doing high dose phoenix tears therapy until all these masses are gone… By the way, I have DVD copies of Run From The Cure available for anyone who needs them… I intend to hand them out free at hospitals and Run for the Cure events……

I fulfilled that mission. I have given out at least 50 free copies of the “Run from the Cure” that I had paid a company to make for me. I still have around 50 to go. Some went to dispensaries (as you would expect), some were handed out in the doctor’s office(s) I visited, others went to health food stores, some went to herbalists and naturopathic healers, some went to people I happened to speak to in the grocery store line, more went in random places where it was up to fate to decide whose hands the video ended up in… like outside of tobacco shops, liquor stores, and gambling dens.

After a conversation with a Dude collecting donations for homeless vets. Before giving, I made sure the vets are allowed to medicate with weed. They are and brother man has his red card.I donated $108 to his cause when I meant to donate $9… there is a benjamin doing good things for homeless vets… wow am i glad i asked if they had a place for the vets to use their canna-medicine if they have a colorado license to do so…

I had to shave the back of my head to make topical application of the cannabis oil thinned slightly with olive oil an easier thing to do. I remembered a haircut that had been popular in my youth, and secure in the knowledge that my treatment would not make my hair fall out, I only shaved the back of my head. If I wore a scarf, no one could tell that the back of my head was so lumpy, uneven and working on using the cancer cure. But it wasn’t just a mass on the back of my head, I also had a mass in my left breast and small masses in various other parts of my body (along the lymphatic system’s pathways).  My digestive tract was so messed up that I have lived on a liquid diet almost exclusively from March 2012-the present (although I have recently been able to eat/digest more solid food). There were a ton of other symptoms as well. It was agony. By taking the phoenix tears in very high doses, I was able to eliminate all the masses the doctors had found. They were shocked, amazed, and educated by my “miraculous healing”. They had given me about a month to live, and within that month, I made all the cancer go away using cannabis oil.

On September 24, 2012 at 10:46pm my Facebook status proudly read:

Doc says I am cancer free…. Doc said the remaining portion of the mass on the back of my head is acute muscle tension (thank you fibro). Doc says my doggie gave me a minor head injury while playing with me… doc also says I have Acute Pancreatitis and need to be on bed-rest and clear liquids for a while….. I was afraid of people showing up at the er, so I had to say it was a bud of mine and not me…. They wanted to keep me at the hospital for a few days to control the pain and ensure I was ok, but I just couldn’t handle that and I know I can get a shit-ton of things done on bedrest at home where as I couldn’t get jack and shit done at the hospital…. Thanks for the love and support guys…. I needed it and still do….

Issues with my gut continued. I was diagnosed later with pancreatitis, then colitis, and finally a root cause to all my pain was discovered. I have a rare genetic disease called Familial Mediterranean Fever. Sadly, cannabis cannot cure a defect in my genes (to my knowledge) but it remains an important part of my pain control regimen to ensure I function. You can read more about my crazy genes by clicking this paragraph.

The good news is I can eat solid foods again (sometimes) and I am getting a lot more sleep than I have been capable of in years with the addition of the new treatment based on the diagnosis of Familial Mediterranean Fever.

Is there a difference between Hemp and Cannabis?

Yes and no… Hemp generally refers to either the male plant or the portions of the plant used for their fiber. Cannabis generally refers to the female plant and the portions of the plant used for it’s psychoactive and healing effects.

Merriam-Webster definitions of Hemp and Cannabis:

hemp

noun ˈhemp

1

a : a tall widely cultivated Asian herb
(Cannabis sativa of the family Cannabaceae, the hemp family)
that has a tough bast fiber used especially for cordage
and that is often separated into a tall loosely branched species (C. sativa)
and a low-growing densely branched species (C. indica)

b : the fiber of hemp

c : a psychoactive drug (as marijuana or hashish) from hemp

2

: a fiber (as jute) from a plant other than the true hemp;

also: a plant yielding such fiber

Origin of HEMP

Middle English, from Old English hænep;

akin to Old High German hanaf hemp,

Greek kannabis

First Known Use: before 12th century

1
: hemp 1a
2
: any of the preparations (as marijuana or hashish) or chemicals (as THC) that are derived from the hemp
and are psychoactive

Origin of CANNABIS

Latin, hemp, from Greek kannabis; akin to Old English hænephemp

First Known Use: 1783

Author’s note ~ there is so much more to know on the origin of the word Cannabis!!!

If you do your homework on cannabis well,
you should have come across kaneh-bosim (Hebrew קְנֵה-בֹשֶׂם)

The anthropologist Sula Benet did a lot of work
on the etymology of this word and it’s association
with Old Testament biblical recipe for
Holy Anointing Oil given in Exodus 30:22-25.

The term sweet calamus was mistranslated
and put in place of Kaneh-Bosim
when King James of england commissioned a new translation (circa 1604-1611).

Benet’s writings have gained modern notability[citation needed]
for her interpretations of the herb appearing in
Hebrew text as kaneh-bosim (Hebrew קְנֵה-בֹשֶׂם)
five times in the Hebrew Bible and how it
relates to the religious use of cannabis.
Kaneh-bosm is mentioned twice as part of
the holy anointing oil used in the temple,
and has been interpreted traditionally as calamus
(an herb that is known in North American shamanism
and in vedic atharva and has been discovered in
modern times to contain a molecule known as Asarone
that is a precursor of trimethoxyamphetamine, a psychedelic).
Through comparative etymology, analysis of ancient texts
(including pre-Hebrew Semitic language), a
nd pharmacological consistencies she contends that
the word kaneh-bosm actually refers to cannabis
and was used in ancient Jewish religious rites,
as a medicine and ritual sacrament.
Benet’s work claims that cannabis use has a long culturally important history,
and that the criminalization and demonization of cannabis is a recent invention
(an occurrence of the previous century compared to Torah: dating back at least 3,000 years).
While Benet’s conclusion regarding the psychoactive use of cannabis
are not generally recognized among Jewish scholars,
there is general agreement that hemp (“Kaneh”)
is used in talmudic sources to refer to hemp fibers,
as hemp was a vital commodity before linen replaced it.[1]
Benet claims that traditional identifications of kaneh bosom
do not account for hemp shirts being produced from industrial hemp,
which Benet claims is “Kaneh” in Hebrew.[2]
Benet claims that this kaneh differs from the “fragrant” or “sweet” hemp
called especially kaneh bosm, because the latter
produces much more of aromatic and psychotropic substances like CBD and THC.[2] [3]

I am grateful to live in a country that has freedom of religion. I personally believe that  cannabis was out on our planet by a loving creator to  enrich our lives and keep us healthy.

Is Hemp SEED oil the same as the cannabis cure oil?

NO! they are produced in entirely different methods from different parts and even different sexes of the plant!!! While I do recommend people cook with hemp seed oil whenever possible, It is not the cure for cancer. It is “health food” because   its 3:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 essential fatty acids, which matches the balance required by the human body.

__________

What is Hemp Seed Oil?

__________

Not to be confused with hash oil.
Bottles of hempseed oil

Hemp oil or hempseed oil is obtained by pressing hemp seeds. Cold pressed, unrefined hemp oil is dark to clear light green in color, with a pleasant nutty flavour. The darker the color, the grassier the flavour.

Refined hempseed oil is clear and colorless, with little flavor and lacks natural vitamins and antioxidants. Refined hempseed oil is primarily used in body care products. Industrial hempseed oil is used in lubricants, paints, inks, fuel, and plastics. Hempseed oil has found some limited use in the production of soaps, shampoos and detergents. The oil is of high nutritional value because its 3:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 essential fatty acids, which matches the balance required by the human body.[1] It has also received attention in recent years as a possible feedstock for the large-scale production of biodiesel.[2][3] There are a number of organisations that promote the production and use of hempseed oil.[4]

Hemp seed oil (right)

Hempseed oil is manufactured from varieties of Cannabis sativa that do not contain significant amounts of THC, the psychoactive element present in the cannabis plant. This manufacturing process typically includes cleaning the seed to 99.99% before pressing the oil. There is no THC within the hempseed, although trace amounts of THC may be found in hempseed oil when plant matter adheres to the seed surface during manufacturing. The modern production of hempseed oil, particularly in Canada, has successfully lowered THC values since 1998.[5]Hash oil, not to be confused with hempseed oil, is used for both medicinal and recreational purposes and made from the mature female flowers and leaves of the drug cannabis, thus having a much higher THC content. Hash oil should not be confused with hemp, as the modern usage of the word ‘hemp’ is reserved for plants that meet the legal requirement of containing 0.3% THC or less.[citation needed]Nutrition

Main article: hemp

Hempseeds from which hempseed oilcan be extracted

About 30–35% of the weight of hempseed is an edible oil that contains about 80% as essential fatty acids (EFAs); i.e., linoleic acid,omega-6 (LA, 55%), alpha-linolenic acidomega-3 (ALA, 22%), in addition to gamma-linolenic acidomega-6 (GLA, 1–4%) andstearidonic acidomega-3 (SDA, 0–2%).

The proportions of linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid in one tablespoon per day (15 ml) of hempseed oil easily provides human daily requirements for EFAs. Unlike flaxseed oil, hempseed oil can be used continuously without developing a deficiency or other imbalance of EFAs. This has been demonstrated in a clinical study, where the daily ingestion of flaxseed oil decreased the endogenous production of GLA.[6]In common with other oils, hempseed oil provides 9 kcal/g. Compared with other culinary oils it is low in saturated fatty acids.[7]Highly unsaturated oils, and especially poor quality oils, can spontaneously oxidize and turn rancid within a short period of time when they are not stored properly; i.e., in a cool/cold, dark place, preferably in a dark glass bottle. Hempseed oil can be frozen for longer periods of storage time. Preservatives (antioxidants) are not necessary for high-quality oils that are stored properly.

Hempseed oil has a relatively low smoke point and is not suitable for frying. Hempseed oil is primarily used as a food oil and dietary supplement, and has been shown to relieve the symptoms of eczema (atopic dermatitis).[8]Benefits

Hemp is a high protein seed containing all nine of the essential amino acids (like flax). It also has high amounts of fatty acids and fiber as well as containing vitamin E and trace minerals. It has a balanced ratio of omega 3 to 6 fats at around a three to one ratio. This won’t help correct your omega balance if it’s off, but it gives you the right balance to start with.

Further the protein content of the hemp seed is supposed to be very digestible. Many people noted their personal experience of finding that hemp seed protein did not cause bloating or gas, like some of their whey, or other protein shakes did.

And, get this, unlike soy which has super high amounts of phytic acid (that anti-nutrient that prevents us from absorbing minerals), hemp s
